T, that was your bloody postcard. But, I'll attach another one.

I went away for a few days, but I didn't really expect my absence to be noticed, unless something went disastrously wrong. (I checked the site occasionally and saw it was still ticking over.) I wasn't counting on your round-the-clock surveillance of Who's Online.

I visited a few places in the South Island of New Zealand. It was the first time I'd been to NZ, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Amazing, O GAGL! And we're probably gladder that you're back than you are, considering where you were! I might've never returned!

The photo was taken near Lewis Pass, crossing over the mountains from one side of the South Island to the other. The scenery's quite amazing - and a big contrast to my part of Australia, which is rather flat and, at the moment, very dry and brown.

I remember going over the Lewis Pass, very slow traffic because of roadwork, but my biggest fear was that we were going to run out of gas, so every time we hit a down slope, I put the car in neutral, thinking that would save gas.  And then I almost missed seeing the gas pump at that little general store, and had to back up. But because I was so worried about the empty tank, I missed most of the scenery!

I wonder if you were in bobbi's neck of the woods, Alan. I know very little about NZ's geography, but it would have been funny if you'd gone right by her house without realizing it.

I think Bobbi's in the North Island, Threeb, but if I'd passed her in the street, she probably would have been moving too fast for me to have a chance of recognising her, judging by the number of activities she squeezes into her life.

You're probably right -- you would have only seen a blonde-headed streak whizzing past in a convertible.

Of course we missed you....how could you even contemplate the thought that we wouldn't...... you are ever omnipresent.....
