The hardest common words
« on: April 16, 2007, 05:33:11 PM »
Now that Chihuahua puts more emphasis on getting the "common" words, I thought people might be interested in knowing which of the common words have proven most elusive so far. Here are the ones found by the fewest players in each of the last six daily puzzles.

Friday, Standard puzzle:

  • rigatoni
  • origami
  • amigo
  • martini

Friday, Challenge:

  • unreel
  • runnel
  • neural
  • urea

Saturday, Standard:

  • encyst
  • irenic
  • iciest
  • cities

Saturday, Challenge:

  • theism
  • tummies
  • itches
  • smith

Sunday, Standard:

  • odium
  • oilmen
  • moue
  • dolmen

Sunday, Challenge:

  • irenic
  • nixes
  • cities
  • incise

I'll leave it to you to draw any conclusions.
