Latest Word List Update
« on: October 02, 2007, 01:33:48 PM »
Go to Word List Updates to see details of the latest 37 words added as allowable Chihuahua words.

When I went to add shotten (suggested by Dave in this topic), I found it was already there.

Perhaps he must have gotten rotten
to fail to cotton on to shotten --
the very word is misbegotten!

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear - the word was already allowed when Dave requested it. Several people played it that day, including some forumites. Yet nobody said anything. What's up with you people - are you paying attention, or what?

I understood you perfectly, Alan   ... it's just a pity that I never bother to look at the Word List ... I might find the games a bit easier ... short attention span ... sorry, and sorry for all the .........s   >:D

I have no idea why I posted that word if it was already there -- sorry about that , boss!  Sometimes I find that I have misspelt a word in the course of dictating it (even with a great deal of practice, I find that it needs concentration, unlike typing, something I remember fondly along with sex and being a jazz pianist!), and maybe that's what I did on this occasion... interesting word, though!

Great word....and don't you be so mean to dave, Viral...
After all, he has single handedly come up with a whole new shorter dictionary of words for us to play with....[and i understand that you probably loathe every suggestion...].
One little repeat and you are on him like a flea on a cat...[i was going to make a reference to a 'lady of the night' and a millionaire here, but decided against it...]

Us mere mortals are subject to human error, occasionally....a concept which misses you by miles Viral...

Dave...just to clarify your comment..and cos i'm a nosy bitch...what did you have to concentrate on the most, and what did you have to practice the most...typing, sex or jazz piano???

Sigh… the trouble with throwaway lines is that you frequently wish you had done exactly that... :-R

As you know perfectly well, my tainted English rose >:D, I wasn't saying anything about concentrating upon either sex or playing jazz piano.  If you really want to know, I guess that none of those required a great deal of concentration unless I was trying for some really exceptional results  ;D-- but the memory of all three is getting increasingly dim after 15 years of look, no hands, Ma!

But thank you for the support on being the gadfly of the geeks , T. :)

I'm not sure how to take that! [as the actress said to the Bishop!]

I am also sure that you have lived your life always striving for the best at everything you did...

Binks...you can use that line..but not for me...

Feel free, Binkie.  Plenty more where that came from -- the sad part is that I rarely get an appreciative audience.  My family trained themselves to studiously ignore my jokes on the grounds that anything else would only encourage me... children can be so cruel, to say nothing of spouses bent on behaviour modification!

I think I'm lucky, in that my father was a natural comic and raconteur. Mind you, that meant that I couldn't hope to compete until I left home, whereupon I resurrected all his jokes and earned myself a reputation as a wit!
