Rort??
« on: August 24, 2007, 03:43:28 PM »
Hi folks

Rort is a word that means to rip off, cheat or doing something just for your own benefit. Like, someone is rorting a business.

I've played many word games and this word is not accepted, nor is it listed at morewords.com. Is it a slang word??

Hi Colhad!  Maybe someone up there in Chihuahualand doesn't like you, because it accepted "rort" for me!
P.S. I use the word all the time!

woops, I accidently gave a word away then. I've played many wordgames and rort is not accepted and I didn't bother to try in Chihuahua.

Hey, Colhad, I'm an Aussie too (picking up on your signature line). And rort is an Australian word - although I have to admit, it was already in the word list - compiled overseas - that I started with. As well as the meaning you describe, it can also be a wild party.
