I'm afraid I often tend toward the middle of the road, but I like what I like and don't pay much attention as to where it falls in the spectrum.  Every musician or group of musicians has likely done at least one number that I will enjoy, even Marilyn Manson or Nine Inch Nails.  The most outrageous music in my playlist is from Rammstein.  The most current band whose music I really enjoy is Tool.

Never heard of either of those bands R_M ... can I just call you RM?  Can't be bovverd with the _ !  I liked Marilyn Manson singing 'Personal Jesus' ... such a good cover version.  My son likes Nine Inch Nails, in fact I think he's seen them in concert, or am I confusing them with Nine Black Alps?  Probably! 
Threeb and T love Cliff Richard and Donny Osmond .... in fact, I believe threeb is a founder member of the Donny Fan Club!

Chances are you are just tweaking them, but pop has its place on my playlist, too (though not Donny Osmond.)  I had to look up Cliff Richard on Wikipedia; can't say I am familiar with him.
