Word suggestion: rompers

...as in the garment. By rights it should belong to the same category as "shorts", "slacks", etc, which are accepted.

Well I hate to dampen any word suggestions however I have never heard of rompers. I’m guessing they’re pyjamas or tracksuits?

the Macquarie Dictionary.

plural noun 1.  a one-piece loose outer garment for a baby combining a sleeveless top and short or long trousers; crawlers.

2.  a garment of a similar shape, designed for older children and adults.

I'd call this item a "romper" or a "romper suit" and "rompers" would be the plural.
