It's v. big, but I don't remember a lot of water sports.  We usually go to see nature on vacations instead of to go waterskiing, etc.  We took a boat ride across the lake to visit a natural arch.  I've attached photos I found on Google to show you what I mean.  We didn't spend long at Lake Powell since it was on the same trip that we went to see the Grand Canyon.

Absolutely amazing. Now that is a natural wonder of the world...a true miracle...

BTW...I think the lake itself is made b/c of a dam, although the taller parts are natural from rivers in the past (like the Grand Canyon)...but the arch is a natural wonder.

It still looks stunning though..however it got there.
What an amazing trip you must have had if you were there and then the Grand Canyon....It is one place i would love to see in the States.....

Yes it is.  I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to several amazing places around the U.S. as a child.

Are you male or female? A dog or a bitch???  I haven't been able to tell from your posts...and would hate to offend by assuming either one, as Linda did with shindoozle..i think?

You wouldn't let it lie!  How was I supposed to know that shindoozle was male?  Doesn't say so in his profile, does it?  Easy mistake for anyone to make.  I think bdb must be a male ... sounds pretty manly to me ... she says hopefully!!!

What a strange thing to say, bdb, 'Chipootle to Banashi and to my sisters'!  What does it mean?  Isn't it chipotle, as 3B said?  A kind of pepper?  Please explain .... it sounds like a foreign language to me ... but then I am frightfully British!!!
