Daylight savings
« on: April 02, 2023, 10:53:40 AM »
I hate it when Daylight Savings ends! But I do like the morning puzzle being an hour earlier. This is probably a really dumb question but do you change it Alan to suit Australian time lines or is it something that happens world wide?

Jacki, the puzzle start times are tied to UTC, better known as Greenwich Mean Time, which is unaffected by daylight savings. The Standard puzzle runs from midnight to midnight, UTC. So the puzzles have stayed the same while our clocks have shifted by an hour.

pet peeve: there is no 'savings' of daylight; the name is STUPID. And I hate messing around with the clocks.

We put our clocks forward the Saturday before last.  It's laughingly called British Summer Time though judging by the amount of ice on my car this morning I don't think the weather's got the hang of it yet  ;D

Most definitely! When I'm moaning about the heat in the Summer you can remind me about the cold & ice
