Wow, have I been here that long?
« on: February 08, 2022, 06:29:08 PM »
Just decided to check when I first appeared here, and according to the date on my intro thread (complete with LOTS of insect related discussion!), that I've now been here close on 7 years.

That time has certainly flown by!

In the meantime, as well as playing Chihuahua on a regular basis, I've added over 30 new moth species to my recording tally, including the fabled Merveille Du Jour that I mentioned in another post, that I and my colleague spent 31 years looking for!

2021 also saw me add the spider Nuctenea umbratica to my tally, which when illuminated by my LED torch, looks as if it has purple spangles on it!
Remember: if the world's bees disappear, we become extinct with them ...

That’s great Calilasseia - time does fly and you’ve accomplished a lot. Well done! You’ve certainly broadened my knowledge of entomology or lepidopterology -which admittedly wouldn’t be hard! Thanks for the photos too.
