Thanks Alan. I cannot delete the final letter without pressing Clear. Will leave it with you.

Does this happen every time you try to delete the last letter? I have seen this happen now, but not consistently.

Did some more testing and the intermittent problem (the worst kind for a tech person!!) happens in all browsers (Vivaldi, Brave, Chromium, Firefox, Pale Moon). Haven't seen a pattern, unfortunately.

So far it’s when I put a word in and then try and delete the letters. It’s not when I’m shuffling and the whole rack is full of letters - the x works to delete them individually. It’s if I put in a word and then try to x them out individually rather than pressing clear.

Though one feature I would like to see, is the appearance of the same interface on the 7-by-many puzzle as seen on the other ones. Being able to flick erroneously chosen letters back to the letter selection area on my tablet is so convenient, as is being able to drag letters to their proper positions. :)

...but you can do that, at least on a PC, once the "Show letters as tiles" checkbox is selected! I do hope this also works on tablets for those who play on those...

Ah, now that I've learned about this, I've just tried it!

Thus far, works as usual on my Android tablet, even though the tablet itself is, er, behaving in an interesting manner at times while running Chrome. Will have a peek at how the new feature behaves on the laptop later :)

I think I may have fixed the problems some people have had of letters that can't be deleted, etc. Once again, the Reset button should ensure you are using the latest version. Let me know of any continuing issues.

Happy to report that the new feature is working as intended on my Windows 7 laptop, when using Chrome. So it's now working properly on both my devices. :)

Returning to the question of the fonts in the word list, the one remaining thing I'm inclined to change is the size of the rare (in italics) words. I think it should be a bit bigger. What do others think?

IMHO just a smidge bigger would be good but I wouldn't be fussed if they stayed as they are...

Definitely agree with you both - bigger is better!

They are quite hard to see, playing on my phone. The common words are fine - rare are noticeably smaller …

Liking the changes!

Did something change again? One browser appears to show the most recently played word in the long-standing reverse colour format, but also in CAPS. (Not a fan, but will get accustomed to it if it is indeed a new thing.)

TRex, that sounds like a reversion to a previous version of one of the CSS files. See if the Reset button brings it up to date.

Thanks, Alan. That did fix it, even though that browser had been closed and restarted more recently than the one where it wasn't happening. Darn computers! ;D
