Oh no, that is sad news indeed.
Larger than life is a good description - funny, opinionated and always cheering everyone on and up. He will be so missed.
RIP Les.

So sorry to hear of Les' death. He certainly brightened up the forum. I think he would have been a wonderful man to have known.

It's just too sad hearing about Les - I haven't stopped thinking about it since reading of his passing yesterday.  He was such a character with his comments, but also a true gentleman.  He'll be sorely missed by the Chihuahua community.

I'm shocked and very much saddened to hear of Les's passing. I like many of you thought he was just giving chi a miss for a while as he has done in the past. Never dreamt in a million years that it would be so final and my last post to him was asking for a red hot tip to which there was no reply. I will miss his friendly banter, wonderful sense of humour and his daily comments on players' achievements in the 7-by-many puzzles to which Alan referred. He will be sorely missed here in the forum and my thoughts go out to his family. RIP Les

So sad. I too will miss Les's posts and his larrikin spirit.
Deepest sympathy to his family and many, many friends.

I thought I should pass this on.....This is a little bit of a lovely message I received from Les' niece. Alan sent her the link so she could read the Forum posts.

"Thankyou to everybody. You've got no idea how much this makes my heart sing. I know he was amazing, but now he shines just a little bit brighter."

Les's unexplained absence from the forum was perhaps an indication that some ill had befallen him but it's sad to have it confirmed.

Condolences to his family.

So sad to hear this news, however belated.*  I always enjoyed Les's participation - he sure livened up the posts. He will certainly be missed.
