Similar to Maud & HJ, i missed a couple that i should have found but would never have found catalytic or tactility unless by accident.

Tough standard game this morning!

I missed ACACIA, CACTI, CATTILY, TATTY and, of course, TACTILITY – not a good day for me as I normally get within 2 or 3 of a rosette. Still waiting for my second, let alone 2 in a row…

I like the way you think, @maudland, can I double up on your guess of 42 and also say, I think it is incumbent upon Mike to throw a game at that mark... ;D ;D ;D

Any more words like tactility and I won't need to do any throwing.
I can't make lucky hits every time.

Well done to all of those who managed to bounce back with rosettes in yesterday's game.
Although not a club member (yet ), 2dognight ( Carol ) must get a special mention as i think it has been quite some time since her last rosette?

The thing that has stood out to me recently has been the consistently high scoring of both doxydaisy & rogue mother on the open scoreboard.
Doxydaisy has had a couple of second placings recently & rogue mother is always there abouts so it makes me wonder if either of you have ever managed to actually top that scoreboard & if the answer is no then i am predicting that it will happen sooner or later.
Either way please do keep up the good work because weather you realise it or not, you are improving the games of your army of followers as they try to match your efforts.

Mike  collects consecutive rosette number 22.

Sorry John, i forgot to tag it onto the end of my last post.
I missed cirrus & sinusitus.

My crisis now is that i am suffering a serious case of last word syndrome in the current game.

Should Mike's run end at 42, there will be a thorough " stewards " inquest. :police:

Look at you, Les, sitting on top of the leaderboard!!!

I do hope you get that final word - you still have almost 20 hours left and you've already got a maven in your pocket!

Thanks mate, but i have to admit that i am only there by accident as i have persevered a lot longer than normal & " guessed " heaps of rare words in my desperate search for that final common word. ( my hit rate is sitting at 22 % )
I have no doubt that i will slip a long way down that scoreboard before the game closes but at least i have had my " 5 minutes of fame ".
It all comes back to why this thread was created... I see other club members putting up outstanding performances day after day which inspires me to think to myself that if i just put in a little more time & effort then there is no reason that i cannot match those efforts.
The elite players are gracious enough to disclose the words that they have missed & when i sometimes see that they are not the same words that i have missed then that gives me the impetus to keep trying to match those players.
I love the challenge & competition but it is not all about the " competition " for me, it is more about improving my game, having friendly rivalries & most importantly making new friends.

I missed succinct in the previous game. The rosettes have been few and far between for me lately until this current game YAY!

Come on Les.. get that final word. I know you can do it. Then we can both shout from the rooftops! :-*

So, it looks like my run is going to end on 22 (25 for the month) = both personal bests. I have to go out now and the game will have closed by the time I get back.

Really looking forward to seeing what I missed.

Me too, i'm soooo curious to see if it is the same word that i cant find.

Such a shame, but your run had to come an end sometime.
I think that it will be a very long time before anyone comes even close to either of your P.B's.
