Yeah, I got the recipe.  Thanks!  Might have some difficulties finding fromage frais though...I looked it up and it looks like I can substitue cream cheese, although I'm not sure how well that would work in this recipe.

We do use cups instead of g.  Lucky for me I have a digital food scale for just such situations.

I suppose you could use natural yoghurt, or soured cream instead..although marscapone might be nice...
You could make a cream cheese filling...by mixing 250g of light cream cheese with 50g of softened butter, some icing sugar to taste and a squeeze of orange juice..it's the topping i use on my carrot cake....but sweet and creamy.
Try them all...all will be yummy....
Let me know how you get on when you try it!
Lots more recipes if you want them...
Night night sweety...have a good day tomorrow and catch up later.

I have started a desktop recipe document from all the lovely little delectables you have been posting. I could use all the help I can get in the kitchen.

Who'd have guessed that a thread named "farter" would become a cooking show?

(Those who've been posting for a while know the answer to that rhetorical question!)

Now that you've all helped me out in the cooking, COULD SOMEONE PLEASE COME OVER AND HELP ME CLEAN IT UP???  >:D

Hey threeb,
That's what dishwashers are for......
I would kill someone before i would let them take my dishwasher away....it is about the only household appliance i feel like that about...
My philosophy to that is; I could take my washing to the launderette, sit for a couple of hours and read a book/do a puzzle/listen to music etc. .....but no bugger is going to come and wash my dishes/pots/pans .....

Morning mate ... I aint got a dishwasher ... just a willing husband!  As there are only three of us (and the cat) I don't really need one but, having said that, my mother uses hers all the time and she lives on her own!  Don't mind washing up so much it's all the other chores I can't stand esp. (as we know) cleaning the cooker.  Mine is supposed to be 'self cleaning' ha bloody ha ... another myth!  >:D

Hello Darling...Hungover..or were you restrained in your Chablis consumption?

Only the sides of the oven, unfortunately...
What about the top, and the doors....
Whoever came up with the phrase 'self cleaning oven' should be put in  a liquidiser.

Sober as Pete this morning!  No. not really just a modest couple of glasses of Alto Pino ... can't afford Chablis that often ... probably just as well as I'd be checking into rehab with you know who!  >:D

Getting back to Dave's original question, I think farter should be allowed.

The Shorter Oxford lists it as a derived word, without any further explanation, but I'm intrigued to see that the Australian and New Zealand editions of the Oxford both list this word as a down-under colloquialism for a bed or sleeping bag. This is something I've never heard of, and I suppose you hadn't heard of it, Dave, or you would have mentioned it in your original, very informative post. Furthermore, I can't find a reference to this usage in any other guides to Australian English. What say you, antipodean forumites? Has anyone ever heard of farter being used for a bed or sleeping bag?

I can certainly see the logic of that meaning, Alan ;D!  But no, I hadn't heard of it before -- have never been one for the great outdoors, though...

Cheers,

Dave

No, Alan, that's new to me, but I like it and will use it in future  ;) Perfect logic.
