Farter
« on: July 18, 2007, 12:40:13 PM »
There is good authority for "farter" to be included in the Chihuahua lexicon.  In addition to its standard colloquial  usage, e.g., "that bastard is a phi beta farter," I am happy to report that there is a wonderful article in Wikipedia on the subject of professional farters.  I quote:

A flatulist, fartist, or professional farter is a performer who receives payment for farting in an amusing and/or musical manner.

(The head word is flatulist.)

That has brightened up a rather gloomy morning for me :).
The lyf so short, the craft so long to lerne…

There's nothing like looking at the Forum Latest only to see a thread titled Farter.  I chuckled at that one.  Must admit that I tried it too.

Try looking up "Le Pétomane".......I once had a book about him, which sadly went astray.  :(

I thought, Anonsi, that you would have been far to ladylike to try that.
 I had never pictured you as a farter whilst sitting at your computer... :-\
Had you had beans for dinner to enable you to try it...???
I haven't tried it myself...but i may give it a go when no-one else is around...just in case... :-[

The word...not the action, T!  I, of course, am far too ladylike. (as you say)

All of these M's you keep spewing all over the place are confusing, T.  I keep thinking you are talking about/to mymermaid...

Now, Anonsi, here's how it goes, so you can keep things straight:

MMM = mymermaid

MM = marilyn monroe

M&M = little candy-covered chocolates

MMMMM ... = thinking; (alt.) expressing joy after eating the M&Ms.

 >:D
