Hi matie ... Happy New Year!!  I have just come back from a trip to Ambleside .... it was absoflaminglutely freezing!!  Looking for birthday present for son's girlfriend ... how inconsiderate to have a birthday so close to Christmas!!  Anyway, got her a posh Body Shop set of creams, body butter etc for half price!!  The shops are desperate to sell their goods at the moment!

Sorry to hear about your door falling off!  Cardboard is always an attractive look!

Off to make a coffee to help warm me up as it's too early to imbibe some alcohol!!  Not that I would anyway, natch!

I simply hate it when birthdays and holidays are bunched up together. People should take that all into consideration when they're born, for goodness sake!

Presactly!    I have my sister's 50th, my niece's 21st and my son's 18th plus two other birthdays all in the same week in March!  We were hoping to maybe take a trip to Amsterdam for our 20th wedding anniversary in May but will probably not have a bean left by then!!

Might be able to afford the toast but the butter and jam don't look too promising!!

For butter, you might pilfer some milk from a cow, and then start churning! The jam, though, might pose a greater challenge.

To answer your question about my whereabouts...

Really nothing exciting...Work, home, kids and [i'm sorry to say] facebook...there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.  Now the girls are 16, i can hardly send them to bed [or back to the shed] at 7 p.m. any more...so i seem to get so little 'me time' to get on the computer at home and 'chi'....and when i do there never seems to be anybody on.

I do miss our banter sessions...they were fun and had me peeing my pants sometimes...

I hope you and yours are all well. What have you been up to lately?

Well done for finding this thread ... I'd forgotten about it ... oh how popular I used to be!!

I've been doing pretty much the same as you (apart from facebook, natch!) and am at work now so not much time to chat. 

Nowt much to report ... we're all fine and busy decorating yet again ... like the Forth Road Bridge our house.  No sooner have we done up one room than another one needs attention ... oh well, keeps hubby out of trouble!
