Spot on Linda.   He's my rather lame effort in response ;D

Our friend Les hails from Brisbane,
He enjoys a beer in the sun,
Earlier this year he disappeared,
But happily he’s now reappeared,
Aren’t we pleased that he did!
If life gives you lemons, add a large gin & some tonic...

Oh that's awesome Les - almost as intricate as one of your bets!

I don’t normally bother with seeing out the old year and seeing in the new, but just this once I will, because I want to be sure that 2020 with all the misery it has brought us has definitely finished.

Cheers one and s all.

Thanks to everyone for their kind feedback.
I particularly enjoyed Penny's little poem.

Tony, i must apologise for your accidental exclusion from the " tribute ".
That oversight has now been addressed.
In fact i will continue to make sporadic updates as there are many more players that i wanted to include but i just ran out of time.

Well, Alan, the New Year has already come to you while we wait here on the Californian coast, getting ready with our sighs of relief as 2020 fades away.

As everyone has said: Thanks so much for bringing us such a wonderful game. The Challenge Game waiting for me at morning coffee time is a daily pleasure I owe to you!

All Best Wishes!!!

Two causes of joy to start the new year:

Waking up this morning and reading all these lovely messages to Alan, all fully deserved, for creating something that has helped immensely through the awful days of 2020 and that will still be there to help us all face whatever 2021 and beyond may bring.

Talking of which: the other reason for joy? My partner (in a care home) got her first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on New Year's Eve. Stay safe, folks, there really is help on the horizon.

All the best to everybody for 2010.

And again, THANK YOU ALAN for Chihuahua. This year I have been able to entice my 2 sisters to play and one has brought a great-nephew and great-niece too. One of them is kind enough not to always beat me!

And for those missed out on their New Year's eve fireworks (as we in Melbourne did)...
