A big thank you to Alan
« on: December 30, 2020, 07:52:43 PM »
As the year draws to a close, I'd like to thank you Alan for continuing to provide a site where I can rejoice in finding the final common word like retentive in the day before's Challenge puzzle and then the lows of seeing I've missed sloe again to forfeit another rosette.
It's a comfort to come here and pit myself against myself and interact with other like-minded players. Obviously you don't have advertisements and you don't pester us with spam and I'm grateful for my dear sister in law, Doxydaisy, introducing me to the game just over four years ago.
My stats have improved somewhat in that time, along with my knowledge.
I love the forum, the argy-bargy and the good old-fashioned entertainment it provides.

A big thanks from me too Alan.  The Forum & puzzles give me a huge amount of pleasure.  It's our own little community & I love it.
Best wishes to everyone for a much happier New Year.

I will add my thanks to Alan too, and endorse the previous comments. I think I have played every game in 2020 and always enjoy them.

Thanks too to Jack and Penny for their posts, full of banter, jokes, puzzles and friendship. Brings a smile each day, a needed tonic in this blighted year.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone

Thank you, Jacki, for your eloquent tribute to Alan and for expressing the gratitude we have for the provision of the Chihuahua puzzles and forum and for the effort, wisdom, and sometimes tolerance, in maintaining a site of the highest standard.

I am optimistic that 2021 is going to be much better for most people than in 2020 and I sincerely wish this is so for all the people who play Chihuahua and particularly those who contribute to the forum.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone.
Regards, Jack

Well said everybody, Jacki et al!  I really love this game too and like someone mentioned, it really gives my day structure and a bit of a buzz to the brain. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it.

Thank you so much Alan for the joy you have brought the Chi community!

Val, I still haven't bumped into you around the mountains yet....

my love to all of your wherever you are and whatever you are dealing with right now

warmest regards
Linda (aka guiltypleasure)

I echo everyone's sentiments wholeheartedly! Huge thanks Alan! I think I would go around the twist without my daily intake of chi.. especially this year. Let's all hope it's a far better year next year. Cheers to everyone!!

A very Happy New Year from me to all forumites and Chi players. Surely 2021 will be an improvement!

Thanks everybody for your kind words. I'm glad I'm able to bring a little happiness into people's lives. May we all have more rosettes and fewer oh-no-I-forgot-to-play-sloe-again moments.

I'll echo what everyone else says. Chi has brought a touch of sanity to a totally insane year...

Thanks Alan - even frustration provides a distraction (will 2021 bring the inclusion of covid into the dictionary???)

When we come out of the Covid-19 crisis, we need to make sure recovery efforts address the Climate Crisis (which can't be solved using social distancing!)

Thanks SO much Alan for everything.  In particular, the 7-by-many puzzles have been a terrific innovation.  All the best for 2021 to you and everyone else.
