Pauraque
« on: May 24, 2020, 05:59:43 PM »
The pauraque is a type of nightjar found in the Americas. While it's a word probably known only to people with an interest in birds I don't think it's too obscure for Chi. I'd like to suggest it for inclusion (rejected by the parquet puzzle).

The word is in a number of the online dictionaries. I'll add it as a rare word.

Lying on the warm asphalt that attracts the heat-loving moths in the evening - such big eyes (and mouths) those parauques have!

Speaking of moths, I had this turn up at a trap a few days ago ...

It sure would have been hard to see that outside a moth trap, Calilasseia.  It would have blended right in with the leaves.
