Is it only in Australia that SINGLETs are common???
The greenest watt ever produced is the one you never use. Playing as jk1956 & John is my name.
When we come out of the Covid-19 crisis, we need to make sure recovery efforts address the Climate Crisis (which can't be solved using social distancing!)

Common enough in UK;

Penny to a pound, the reason it's uncommon on Chi is almost certainly that it's not known in N. America.

Yes I played it a while ago and asked the same question.
Late blooming azaleas tricked by the warmer weather into flowering

Are these the garments known as 'wife-beaters' (charming) in north America?

The packets that my Fathers undies came in always said "singlet" but we called them "vests". Obviously our USA brethren will be confused as to why he wore a"waistcoat" under his shirt. The great divide rears it's head again.

They are sometimes called wife-beaters, but that's just slang. If it's meant to be worn as an undergarment here, it is referred to as an undershirt or sleeveless undershirt. If it's not meant to be an undergarment, it is referred to as a tank top. When wrestlers wear them, they are indeed known as singlets, but I don't think this is particularly widely known.
