Thematic and
theatric are not quite analogous, if one looks at them closely.
Theatric as an adjective is not as common as its other form,
theatrical, at least as far as I am aware.
Theatric as a noun is indeed well known, but in its plural form. The
Google ngram viewer bears this out.
There is some precedent in Chihuahua for a singular form to be uncommon and a plural form to be common, e.g.
throe and
throes, but adding
theatrics would require some action from Alan.
