Best Wishes
« on: December 01, 2018, 06:03:52 AM »
A veteran Chihuahua player is in the intensive care unit and doing well enough to be expected to be moved to a regular area of the hospital.  Forty-one years ago he was the toastmaster at my wedding.  Please join me in sending best wishes for the full recovery of Alzono Q.

Heartfelt support to all who play this game…which yields, joy, distraction, relief and sustenance to so many.

Special thanks to our host, Alan, for making this possible and to the entire community of players.

We are all indebted to Alan for this wonderful game & The Forum, both of which give much pleasure & enjoyment.
Very best wishes

Hi Paula,

I second your remarks about the game, the forum and Alan's remarkable effort.

Please pass on to A-Q my best wishes and in particular my hope for a quick and full recovery and return to the game.

I'd noticed his absence from the top of the scoreboard recently and wondered where he was.  I hope to see him back soon.

Please pass on my best regards, Paula.  He is a mighty force in this game and will be sorely missed from the top of the board!

Alonzo is indeed a veteran player. He is one of that select band who registered as a player within about 24 hours of the registration option being introduced in December 2006. And of course he had been playing for some time before that. Those were the days before the forum, before trophies and rosettes, before the shuffle button, before the ten-letter puzzle, before My Puzzles, before Chihuahua books...

Have a speedy recovery, Alonzo Quixote de la Mancha y Granada y Chihuahua (from one of AQ's first forum posts). We look forward to seeing your nom de jouer back up on the scoreboard very soon.

Surely your many gracious remarks will do much to spur Alonzo's recovery and when he is up and about he will respond with his usual colorful enthusiasm.

I've gone back now, and read some very early Forum entries....sorry it took Intensive Care to get me to read the "story behind the name".
Now I know! Look forward to seeing it back on the scoreboard.

I too hope Alonzo Quixote regains his health and I can't believe he is real because I've been in awe of his prodigious talent since I started playing just over two years ago. I remember asking if he was real and very quickly other players told me he absolutely was! I had noticed he wasn't on the scoreboard. All the best to an absolute champion of Chihuahua.
