The 'precooked' game
« on: June 22, 2018, 03:04:17 AM »
Another of these apparent inconsistencies that crop up from time to time:

precooked (the key word) and precook were both common;
recooked was common, but recook was rare.

Interesting also to look at the play count for these words: (from 375 players)
precook 231; precooked 277. So 46 players who played the seedword failed to play the root from which it was derived.
recook 186; recooked 164; so 22 more played the 'uncommon' word than played the common word.

Go figure, as the man says!

Life (and Chi) is full of inconsistencies. Makes life (and Chi) interesting and quite frustrating.

Yes I was one of those who played recook and when it came up as rare I didn't play recooked. I really didn't do well at all yesterday!
