Hi Jane - Just thought i'd introduce myself as I see you are online.  I live in Cumbria so we're practically neighbours and it's nice to have another Brit on the Forum, especially one from the north of the country!  Getting plenty of rain today?  We have had an absolute downpour this morning but, unbelievably, it's sunny now and quite warm.
Don't be put off by some of the Forumites who insist on littering their posts with smilies ... they're foreign, you know, and can't speak very good English!!!  >:D

And they range from A to Z and can be mixed up to form lovely things called words.  Give it a try, you might give up the smiles for ever once you get the hang of it!  >:D

You were right about thinking Diz said I was from England but I moved to Scotland since. It was glorious sunshine this morning but then from lunchtime we have had thunderstorms with lightning hitting a road and putting a hole in it and now back to sun!
I live in a little village called Portgordon on the North East coast between Aberdeen and Inverness. Fantastic scenery, rain, views, rain, sea and beach, rain, mountains oh and dont lets forget the rain!!
No on a serious note we dont actually get much bad weather, up to now it has been much more consistant than England. Our coastline is known for its fantastic climate. Moved up here for a quieter, more peaceful life. Thought we had escaped the terrorism and so far it hasn't got as far north as us, fingers crossed as we are flying down to Luton next Tuesday!

So jane,
you haven't been inspired to change allegiance to a Scottish team then??
We are Celtic fans here... and can spot one at 1000 yards....
My brother-in-law is a Mancunian and therefore a Man Utd fan...he goes to loads of matches all over Europe.
I don't know much about that part of Scotland..my in-laws are in Greenock, just outside Glasgow. Although my other B-I-L is from Buckie...

It sounds like you have been lucky with the weather, it's pi**ing down, yet again, here.
