Hallo Stift, Die Antwort ist nur ein bisschen und an einem guten Tag.

Das ist gut, Bube. Wünsche dir viele schöne Tage  :)
If that makes no sense whatsoever then please blame Ms Google

I'm really enjoying all the weather stuff.  It's fascinating to see the difference between all our various places and it's great to see the comparisons on your weather app.  I still think in old money!  of, feet and inches, miles and pints!  Bit of a lose cause do you think?
And there was me thinking that it was only us English who are preoccupied with the weather  >:D I've heard it said if we didn't have the weather we'd have nowt to talk about about

It's very busy here this morning and I'm finishing at 1pm.  So I'm even shorter and sweeter than usual  >:D

I did see this Pen and thought I'd sent a comment.  In fact I know I did but it appears to have disappeared or not been sent.  Anyway, of course I agree with you and thought Betty looked just as confused by the plot as we were!  Daft beyond belief.  About time to call time on Midsomer, methinks, unless someone can come up with more plausible plots.  Perhaps we could apply for the job?!  >:D

As long as I haven't gone mad and missed your reply Linda!

I think we could revamp the whole programme and do a much better job.  Not just the awful confusing plots but we could revamp the cast as well.  Wonder if Tom would like to return with Ben Jones?  >:D

Carol, Renmark and Muswellbrook had already been added the list. Current forecast is for a good chance of rain at the weekend.

Pen I translated you reply as ” That's good, boy. Wish you many nice days”

What did you do to get an early mark?

It wasn't an Englishman who wrote:

>:D >:D >:D

Also, 'tis a safe subject which doesn't get people upset. As a lad, I was taught to avoid the subjects of religion, sex, and politics. That makes discussing weather even more attractive! (But my wife would tell you I'm obsessed [i.e. not 'normal'] with the weather.)

According to Ms Google it was a quote by an American gent called Charles Dudley Warner but it has been wrongly attributed to Mark Twain.

Tell your wife that we all need to have a hobby   >:D

That is why I avoided attributing the quote to Mark Twain!  ;D ;D

I told my wife and she said it wasn't a hobby, it was a special interest.

Well, that wasn't much fun.

At 11:55, the temperature had warmed to 9°C before cratering. Six hours later it was 1°C with wind gusting over 55 kph and snow flurries. The forecast was bleak, so I went out and gathered remaining tomatoes and peppers (need to find recipe for fried green tomatoes!). Not fun at all!

Forecast is predicting a overnight low of -2°C and one to three inches of wet, wind-driven snow (gusts to 50 kph) by midday. As the National Weather Service's Area Forecast Discussion from this afternoon wrote:
Quote
Coming right on the heels of yet another mild stretch in our exceptionally warm fall to date, this short stretch of wintry conditions will feel more harsh than it typically would by this late into November.

IOW, seasonal weather is going to feel a lot colder because there hasn't been any transition, just an abrupt change. Oh well!
