That was a fantastic rebus.

All I’ve got for you this morning is several quotes that tickled me.

Thanks Jack :-*

They tickled me too - especially the first one

Hi Pen,

Aussies are not known for their subtlety when showing their dislike of various things.  Right-wing extremists are popping their heads up in any numbers of ways in Australia.  This is what I would say to them.  I have omitted the # from the word count because each word has its own picture.

1 4 4 6 4 4 4 3 4 4 5 4

Conceptually one line.

Pictures 3&10.  Substitute “Y” for “P”

Picture 4. Rhymes with

Picture 6. First Apple Computer (11).  Use 4 consecutive letters within the word.

Picture 8.  Two words (4,4).  You need the first after ditching the last letter.

Picture 11.  Rhymes with

Spoiler Alert for Rebuses Between 12 September and 21 September as a job lot

Sorry, I hadn’t realised how many had accumulated. The workload of doing individual spoiler alert is beyond me just now, so here is a consolidated list

Puzzles of 12/9 to 21/9

Date reflects the author's time zone.

I will return to individual spoiler alert for rebuses 22/9 and later.

This is what I would say to them.

Hi Jack

Zoe and I have just been for our constitutional and have solved your excellent rebus.  It tickled us and made us laugh

I've booked tickets for my cricketing cronies for 19th September next year!  A one day match against your mob.  We're all really excited about it :)

My rebus is the alternative album title which I was tossing up between yesterday!  Another offering from the 1970's.  I'm stuck in a time warp

#6 #4 #5 #3 #3

Please lose one letter from the first picture. Please ignore the patient in picture four and use three consecutive letters from the gent.  First half of picture five and please pretend it's all on one line.

As Zoe's gone home it looks like I'll have to make my own tea.  A rum do indeed

Hi Jack

I hope you enjoyed a good rest :)

I very much enjoyed your greeting.  I can think of at least two people who have done their best to screw up my day

My rebus is the last of my oddly named albums from the 1970's.

1 #3 #2 #2 #4 #2 1 #4...#2 1 #5 #5

AA...A

Please lose the last two letters of picture one.  Please lose the first, fourth and sixth letters of picture two and then make two two letter words with what you have left.  You need the second word of the film in picture three. Please lose the last letter of picture four and use four consecutive letters from picture five. Please pretend it's all on one line.

My turn for a bit of a rest now.  You'll soon be climbing the wooden stairs to Bedfordshire

Clever rebus, Pen

We had a great meal with the Cleveland mob yesterday evening.  Today we had a seafood lunch at The Lighthouse with Andrew and the grandsons.  Tomorrow, Andrew must go home.  It’s been a great visit but too short.

When I was a kid, I used to watch the Wizard of Oz and wonder how somebody without a brain could talk, and then I got social media.

My rebus today is a riddle.  After you have solved the rebus, explain the riddle.

#4 #2 #4 #7, 9 (#4 #5) #4 #7, #3 #5 #4 #7

Punctuation not pictured.

Picture 1. One word(4). Make homophone.
Picture 2..One word[4]. Use middle two letters
Picture 5. One word[3]. Make homophone.
Picture 9. two words(9,4). Make homophone of second word.

Hi Jack

I'm gearing myself up for a busy morning on fracture clinic.  I think my get up and go got up and left

A nice easy little rebus today.  It's an expression.

1 #7 2 #3 #5

THEA
Please change the third letter of the first picture and the fourth letter of the second.  Position is of paramount importance.

I started this a couple of hours ago and I've just noticed that you've snuck in in the meantime :)  Going to finish this and have a look at your rebus.

If life gives you lemons, add a large gin & some tonic...

Thank you kind Sir :-*

Your rebus has fried my brain   I think I might have to leave it for ron when it's a bit quieter.

I'm sure Andrew will be back again before you know it  :)

Roll on lunchtime  :-H

I stuffed up bigtime

Hi Pen,

I broke one of my own rules - never do rebuses in a hurry.   i had published the rebus correctly when i had the thought that the picture of the barrel might be too cryptic and I should replace it with something easier. I had just put the eye-filet on the barbie, so I thought i could make a substitution easily in 8 minutes but instead of replacing the barrel i overwrote the man with never on his chest.

i hope I have fixed it without causing further problems.

So I beg a thousand pardons.  But even worse than stuffing up the rebus, I was so slow doing that that I overcooked the steak.

Oh Jack you've made my day :-*  I read your post and burst out laughing.  I know it's not really funny - stuffing up your rebus and burning the steak but it just tickled the hell out of me.  I could just picture your face and hear you cursing   >:D

Hi Pen,

I know conventional wisdom dictates that people who live in grass houses shouldn’t stow thrones or some idiom like that about the houses people live in.  However, fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

I am probably totally missing the obvious, but I can only get an answer to your rebus with that word count if I change it a bit.  So here goes:

 THE A

Please change the third letter of the first picture and the third and fourth letter of the second.  Position is of paramount importance.

I haven’t got time to devise a rebus now as I shortly have to go to the airport, and I need to get back to my favourite pastime.
