Let me guess - you've been doing this for awhile, haven't you...  :-P :-P :-P

Only for just under ten years.   When I first joined the forum, l was too shy to post, (Stop laughing) but I was curious how it all worked, so I poked my nose into all the nooks and crannies.  I've forgotten more than I remember but every time I sign in I generally take a look at who else is online and what they are doing.  I also check up on the stats from time to time.  I guess I am just a natural sticky beak.   I am not the only one am I, Pen?

Hi Jack

I just picked myself up off the floor & am still laughing >:D  Yes I'll admit to being a very nosy parker Jack - as you well know!!

I love your new approach to the rebuses - very clever.  I thought I had a bit of a twisted mind but I'm struggling to match you!

I did come up with one idea so I'll give it a whirl. It's something that took place across the Pond in the 19th century. Think it'll be too easy peasy!

Anyone who can spell the word drawer backwards will get a reward.

I received a brown envelope through my letter box yesterday that said "Do Not Bend"
I thought "How on earth am I going to pick that up then?"

Time for lunch - I've got an egg & tomato sarnie with my name on it :-H

Now I’ve got it. Indeed a fine album and band.
Still amazed by the many who confuse them with a US rock/jazz band.

It's great when it suddenly falls into place Tony.
Yep you're right!  They're as English as a rainy day at Wimbledon ;D

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the feedback.  It proves we can get a little more inventive with the presentation of the rebuses without making them unacceptably hard to solve.

I have now played 20 games of wordle with a current streak of 100% win rate. I am copying the statistics of this streak as the first bid in a competition to see which of us can get the most games in a streak.  Good luck.

Hi Pen,

I mowed the front lawn in 30oC today and I am knackered, so I am just posting the titbits I prepared earlier today.

The Rebus today is a traditional one.  The subject is the sobriquet of a remarkable woman who was an American socialite and philanthropist.  Among her other claims to fame she survived the Titanic disaster and was the inspiration for an eponymous play and a movie.

3   10(#2   #5   #3)  #5  #5

The definite article is not pictured. Conceptually one line

Word 2.  The count is based on sounds, not spelling
Picture 2. Pick any one.
Pictures 4 and 5.  Replace the first letter with another letter.

and I’ll leave you with this:
