It was even better having two of them on tap.

I’ll leave you with something for pup and cat lovers.

Hi Jack

Now you're just showing off

I love both the pups and the pussy cat :-*

Just a flying visit!  I'm waiting for a summons from Barbs to go walking, have a cuppa & a gossip.  It's a beautiful sunny, very cold & frosty morning.  She's at the supermarket doing her shopping but no doubt she'll be back soon.  She doesn't linger longer ;D

Just got a message so my post is like me today - short & sweet >:D

Hi Pen,

Enjoy your walk.

I hope you didn’t let John’s very clever presentation put you off.

I didn’t get time to do a rebus this morning so I will continue this morning’s post.

This is a Frank Sinatra song and a TV series that spanned 11 years over the turn of the century and starred on of my favourite female actors.

Hi Again Jack

We had a lovely walk - it was gorgeous in the sun :)  Chilly in the shady bits though!

I'd got what I thought was the answer to John's clever rebus but then when I looked again just now I realised my word count isn't quite right so now I'm not so sure!

I loved your rebus - brilliant :)  How on earth did you do that?  I still watch the series from time to time.

Zoe's due any minute so I'd better get the kettle on.  Guinness bangers for tea :-H

If life gives you lemons, add a large gin & some tonic...

Hi Pen,

The Aussies got out of jail free in the first innings.

The Rebus today is a British television sitcom which ran on BBC1 in the 1980s, consisting of four series and one feature-length special.

Hi Jack

I very much enjoyed your post & sussed your rebus :)

Zoe & I have just got back from Buckingham.  We treated ourselves to a massage for our Christmas presents.  Very good it was too :)

I shall be very glad when the Ashes are all over.  There's only so much pain & humiliation you can put up with  :(

I'm following your theme for my rebus.  It's a comedy programme from the 1970's

Please change the first letter of the second picture.

The second part is the main character.
6 (#4 + #2)

Second picture is a homophone.

Nearly time for some grub :-H  Leave you with this... :'(

John, Like you I have been trying to find new ways of presenting concepts in Rebuses as variety is the spice of life.  Otherwise, as it becomes increasingly difficult to present common elements in ways that are not instantly recognisable, we may as well just spell the element out.

On the rebus in question, the UK knowledgeable players have an advantage.  I had never heard of the series until it was mentioned in an episode of Pointless.

By the way, congratulations on becoming one of top 10 topic starters.

Hi Pen,

This is an example of an approach I just mentioned to John.  It makes sense to me but I have a twisted mind.  Let's see if it works.  I have included some of the traditional elements to make the rebus easier to solve.  The size of the images is not unintended.

The subject is the title of a 1900s American comic science fiction film.

The definite article and punctuation are not pictured.

Feedback needed.
