A US comedy from the year 2000. It had a good cast - there were some very big 'a-list' names in it - and was quite funny.

Unfortunately, almost inevitably I suppose, it produced a sequel ('xxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx 2') which I count among 'the worst 10 films it has ever been my misfortune to waste my time watching'.

Bang on Mike!  Even Zoe enjoyed the first one & it's not normally her cup of tea.  The sequel was nothing short of diabolical.

Hi Jack

A quick visit before I grab a bite to eat & head off to see Barbs.

My easy rebus is a sports team that have supporters all over the World!  (I really hope I haven't used it before - I did check!)

You're not interested in George Clooney - just what he is! Past tense for the last picture & slightly rearrange the letters please.

Hi Pen,

Following on from yesterday's rebus, how about these addresses?

A Swiss exchange high school student asked Blue what he thought was the best thing about Switzerland.  He told her, "I don’t know, but the flag is a big plus".

Blue got a part-time job serving in a chemist shop.  A customer asked him, "My hair keeps falling out. Have you got anything to keep it in?"   Blue replied, "What about a cardboard box?"

Blue read that Biofuel engineers are working on herb plant-based jet fuel so that the planes will be able to land on thyme.

An infinite number of mathematicians walk into Blue's bar. The first orders a beer. The second orders half a beer. The third orders a quarter of a beer, and so on. After the seventh order, the Blue advised the barman to pour two beers and said to the mathematicians, "You guys should know your limits."

The answer (plural) to my rebus today are a tongue-in-cheek honour originating in Usenet newsgroup discussions around 1985. They recognize individuals who have supposedly contributed to human evolution by selecting themselves out of the gene pool by dying or becoming sterilized by their own actions.

We are a bit concerned about Les’s sudden absence.  I’ll leave you with a concise version of one of his best jokes.

This is a BBC drama/mystery series which has been running since 2019.
It's watchable but it does seem to have 'daytime TV' written all over it.

five words - 11/3/8/7/13. I think there's a hyphen/dash after the third word

picture 4 - change the first letter to 'H'
picture 7 - a synonym
picture 8 - for those who speak British!
picture 9 - for those who speak American!

I had a look at these, Jack and came across this one in Tasmania which is on the other side of the next one. When I was riding around Oz, giving talks on energy efficiency, I rode up Break-me-neck and down Bust-me-gall (something tells me they expect you to do it the other way around) - going down Bust-me-gall I achieved my fastest speed on my round Australia bike ride - 80km/h and I wasn't touching my brakes for love or money! I really didn't want my bike trailer coming past me...

Hi John,

I haven't seen these signs in situ but these are some Australian signs I like from the net.

The last one is not true - they have been in lock down since midnight

My home town  (Conisbrough, UK) used to have a Butt Hole Road, but the residents got fed up with busloads of American tourists taking selfies with the street sign.

They petitioned the local council for a name change (to Archers Way), which was granted, but they had to pay for the cost a new street sign.

The Maccas in Yass is much loved...  ;D ;D ;D

I didn't stop in but I did ride past this landmark on my way to the nation's capital!

I watch little or no daytime TV Mike (apart from cricket) but I have seen an episode of this & you're spot on :)  Quite harmless but it's no Brokenwood!  I'm quite sad that I've only got about 2 episodes left to watch now :(  I've eeked them out for as long as I could!

Hi Jack

It's raining very persistently here :(  I've had a bit of trouble with my post today.  I started it before I popped out for a coffee & a sticky bun with a friend but it wouldn't preview or post.  I've tweaked it a bit & I'm hoping it's ok now.

My rebus is a book about a lady detective - one of my favourites.

On his first day at infant's school, a five year old boy handed his new teacher a note from his mother. The note read...

Naughty Panda Cubs
This really tickled me ;D

It's stopped raining for 5 minutes so I'm going for a walk.

Hi Pen,

I loved the Pandas and I thought pups were naughty.

I had that problem with not being able to preview or post recently.  There must be a certain type of hyperlink that is incompatible with the Bulletin Board Code and sends it into a loop. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Could you send a bit of that rain this way?  We have barely an inch in the last two months.

I had a go at Blue for having such a cluttered desk.  Quick as a shot he came back with, "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind - then what is an empty desk a sign of?"

Blue bought some shoes from a drug dealer.  He's not sure what they were laced with, but he's been tripping all day.

Blue just got a personalised number plate  BAA BAA.  It's for his black jeep.

My rebus today is a tourist attraction just over 15 miles from York.
