Not a good day at the Chi Office for me yesterday - I'm afraid I got nowhere with either your or Pen's rebuses.
Never mind.
My offering today is quite simple - the full title of probably the most famous work in the entire corpus of EngLit.

seven words - 3/7/2/6/6/2/7

picture 3 - first two letters only
picture 5 - first three letters only
picture 6 - how he was formerly known, before his untimely death
picture 7 - see picture 3
picture 8 - drop the last letter

Hi Pen,

I am not sure when you will see this as you said you are off to the Peak District today.  Have a great holiday.

Blue has got a lot of frogs in his dam. He was curious to see where their ancestors came from so he had them DNA tested and the results showed predominantly Irish and Italian but also a tad Pole.

Blue says that he is never tempted to laugh when notable people fart in public because he is indifferent to noble gases.

Blue told me Ella Fitzgerald & Sammy Davis at one time decided to open a restaurant. It was a big flop because it was called Sam & Ella.

Blue walked into a bar with a newt on his shoulder.
The barman says, “What an interesting pet. What's his name”.
Blue replies, “Tiny”.
The barman asked, “Why did you name him tiny?”.
Blue replied, "because he's my newt.”

Hi Jack

Thanks Jack.  It's only for a few days but I'm really looking forward to it.  Apart from my trip to Trent Bridge to watch the cricket a couple of weeks ago it's the first time I've been anywhere for about 2 years :o I spotted your post on my phone & tried to reply but it's a lost cause - had to get my laptop out!

I got your film!  Zoe & I started watching it a couple of weeks ago & I had to ask her switch it off - it gave me the willies   Can't get all of the tagline but I'll look out for your spoiler later.  Must remember to take my phone charger!

Just going to have a bite to eat & then my neighbour's going to run me to the station to catch my train.

If life gives you lemons, add a large gin & some tonic...

Not quite the Shakespearean bloodfest that 'Hamlet' was, but this 1965 western had a pretty high body-count too.

five words - 3/2/3/7/4

Before I turned the light out, I just checked out this post on my iPad and the third picture is missing.  It was a tour bus and so the word you are looking for is ‘to”.  Sorry but I don’t want to risk waking Bonnie by going to my computer to fix it.

I watched an episode of Australian story last night.  It was about a young bloke, relative to me by about 13 months, called Michael Caton.  This rebus is the title of a movie he starred in about 6 years ago.

#4  #3  #2  #6

Hints.  Find a two-word description for each of the first three pictures.  Then use the first letters from the word count.  In Picture 4 you are looking for a surname of the man being caricatured.  Pictures are conceptionally on one line – no tricks.

Pen, I hope you took your charger for your iPhone, so you can read what is going on in the forum while you are burning around on a motorbike in the Peak District.

My rebus a few days ago was 'The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark'. Today's is a famous one-line quote from that play, in which Hamlet  gives in to a touch of misogyny;
Hamlet is not a very happy chappie.
Not only has Hamlet's own uncle murdered his father, but he has also married his widow, the queen, Hamlet's mother.

five words - 7/3/4/2/5
picture 6 - first two letters only
picture 7 - any one of them

My rebus today is not a serious one.  It is a chihuahua in-joke that occurred to me when I looked at the score of common words in the 7-by-many puzzle that opened several hours ago.

#4   2  #2  #4   #8

Picture 4 is probably not a proper homophone but it is a good pun.

Please forgive my weird sense of humour. >:D

Hi Pen,
If you’re still in Derbyshire it’s worth a visit to the village of Holbrook and the Dead Poets Inn on Chapel Street. I lived in no.36 right next door to the pub, I admit to being a frequent visitor. Goos beer and good company.

Cheers,
Tony

Thanks Tony. I'm here til tomorrow. Not sure where Holbrook is. I'll have to consult my cousin! I'm in Chapel-en-le-Frith. Be sorry to leave here & head back to the concrete jungle. The scenery here is beautiful.

My rebus today is a movie.  Sir Michael Parkinson said the interview with the female star was one of his worst.

9(#5  #4)  #3   7(#3  #3   #2]

Pictures conceptually on one line. duplicated letter in pictures 4 & 5.

Bonus question: Who was the female actor?
