Hi Pen,
Must say your weekend lady seems to have a lot of health problems, regularly at the weekend.

Not too difficult.
An ITV police series with a rural setting that ran for 30+ episodes.

One word only, 12 letters

You need his monogram, not hers to start with

Thanks Mike.  A great rebus & a programme I'd like to revisit.  Win/win

G'day Jack

Funny old weather!  One minute beautiful sun & the next pouring with rain.  Zoe managed to cut my lawn while I did a bit of weeding.  The garden certainly looks better than it did :)  Unfortunately the sunshine & showers will encourage the weeks :(

A quick & simple rebus from me.

A TV series from the 1980's.

It's crossed my mind about Penny's weekend lady too, but I am sure that Penny will be contractually bound to make no comment on this.

It is not so much a contractual issue but I would be uncomfortable discussing her situation in a public forum although I'm sure she wouldn't see it or even mind for that matter.  I know her well and she is going through a very rough patch with her health at the moment and I am only too happy to help out where I can.

Thanks Christine.  There should be a 'reply' button somewhere but it's not important!

One of the greatest anti-war novels (1929) and films (1930) of all time. The film was remade for TV in 1979.

six words - 3/5/2/3/7/5

A definite article and the word 'on' are not pictured.
A knowledge of basic meteorological terms would be an advantage.

Hi Mike,

I don't mean to be a smart-arse (it just happens) but I recognised the answer to your rebus from your introduction without looking at the pictures.  It is such a stand-out classic. I have seen it many times, probably the first time when I was in short trousers. Life goes in cycles, after years of living in suits, now I am in Queensland, I am almost never out of shorts.  Your picturing was clever.

I didn't know they made a remake.  I will have to look out for it.
Regards, Jack

In that case I'll give you a small bonus 'rebusette'.

The name of the small (fictitious) town where the action in this masterpiece - there is no other word to describe it - takes place can be formed from the letters in today's 7-by-many.

Name of the masterpiece, the author, the name of the town, the significance of that name and the name of the star of its original radio  performance, please.

three words - 5/4/4

Oh bless you Christine you did made me chuckle   Cheered me up amongst all the suspected broken wrists!!  It's funny & I can't explain it but we find once you get one wrist x-ray from A&E you get more of the same!  The last time I worked the weekend I think it was loads of ankles!  If I'd been in your position I'd have probably been chuntering & swearing >:D

Who said I wasn't??
The thing is my tech abilities are very hit and miss. This week I had my first experience of Teams as I had an interview and I was really chuffed with my ability to make it work! Then I can't do a reply to you!
It's the same in a shop. One week you can't shift item X and the following week ther will be a run on it!
