There is a group of nice people and dogs who go there each weekday morning.  Unfortunately, they work and so disappear about 7:15.  So we try to get underway by 6:30.

We are off to Coorparoo this afternoon to join in a little family celebration and are going to sleepover so we can have a Mother's Day breakfast there.

My neighbours have a rescue dog called Lucki.  He's a proper character   When they get chance they go to "doggie day club" in one of local parks at 3.30 & meet a group of nice people with their dogs.

I very much enjoyed your clever rebus.   I almost got there but your gent in the first picture got me!!  I solved it with a little help from Ms Google   Very well done for solving Mike's tough rebus.  I was stumped after the first word & I even got that wrong to start with

I'll leave you a simple little rebus.  It's a place in Cornwall.

I love Cornish pasties Linda - especially in Cornwall Very yummy   You're right it's a lovely part of the world.  Ray & I used to stay in a tiny village called Seaton, very near Looe & we visited lots of places.  There's so much to see.  Happy & poignant memories for me.

Hi Pen,

We had an enjoyable celebration of one of the boy’s birthdays yesterday and it may have been fortunate that I didn’t have to drive home.  We had a traditional barbecue breakfast this morning to mark Mothers’ Day rounded off with a much-needed poppy nap when we got home this afternoon.

This one was e-mailed to me by a friend.

Paying a tribute to our non-furry mums

I am sticking with an Australian concept today and it is a term steeped in outback rural history.

It sounds like you had a smashing time   I do hope the barbecue breakfast included some bangers   A great picture of Bonnie & Dusty - he's a bit bigger now by the looks of things!  Unless it was the angle it was taken from.

I'm hopeful that I've solved your rebus but I'll keep my powder dry until you put up a spoiler.

My rebus is an idiom which dates back to the 1950's as far as I can work out.

Please change the first letter of the third picture.  The fourth picture the word is in the past tense.

         

I'll leave you with a small random assortment.  I'm trying to decide whether to mow the lawn or read my book.  I'm sure the grass is far too wet after all that rain yesterday

Sorry Tony it seemed like a good idea at the time! The second picture is from a film of that name & you need to change the first letter of the third picture. He's meant to be wincing😄 Not my finest hour!

A UK TV detective series and the name of its main character. (First two pictures) The first name of the lady in picture one is what you need.

By adding 'the' and 'of' in the appropriate places, you will also get the title of the first ('pilot') episode of the series.

So, altogether six words; 6/6 (first part) and 3/6/2/5 for the second part.

I've had a very busy morning & have decamped to fracture clinic for the afternoon.  It's a paediatric clinic so I don't expect it'll be very quiet & peaceful
