You might need some wiki /google type assistance for this:

The alternate title to one of the best known and best-loved Victorian novels in Eng.Lit

Four words including an initial definite article which is not pictured. 3/6/4/8
You also need to insert an apostrophe in the appropriate place.

Hi Jack

Mike's got me well & truly stumped >:D  I'm going to leave it for now & return to it a bit later.  It's busy & noisy (again) this morning so I'm hoping it'll be a bit more peaceful this afternoon.  I'm so glad

I'm back Jack

Just had an idea for a rebus.  Don't know if it'll work but I'll give it a whirl!  I think it's a film but it just sums up how I feel this morning

  I think it's a film.....

Basically, it was a stage musical, which was very successful in its day.
They did make a film of it but that was a flop.

SPOILER ALERT - Pen's rebus

Hi Pen,

I hope you are feeling better now that you are away from work.

I had the best night's sleep I have had for yonks.  I nearly slept through the alarm.
Regards, Jack

Hi Jack

I am feeling much better now I'm away from work thanks :)  I'm doing the Friday shuffle at the moment but building myself up to the Friday dance a bit later

Pleased you had a good night's sleep :)  Apart from Bonnie being impatient & cheesed off what would have happened if you'd slept a little longer?  Although I do sometimes think that if you sleep too long you feel a bit sluggish :(

I've solved three-quarters of your rebus & think I have the answer :)

My rebus is an English stately home.

A term that has been around since the mid-1930's which describes the attitude and behaviour of some members of society to others:

Two words - 4/10

Picture 4: you are looking for one of this lady's most famous roles.

Hi Mike,

I have an answer.  If I am right, I would have put the word count as
#4 10(#4  #5  #1)

If Not,  I have no idea.

SPOILER ALERT - My guess at Mike's rebus

Well done!

The second possibility never suggested itself until you mentioned it.

The idea was suggested by some lines in an episode of Ben Elton's excellent Elizabethan sitcom 'Upstart Crow' (Series II, episode 5 - 'Beware My Sting', if you are interested).

Apart from Bonnie being impatient & cheesed off what would have happened if you'd slept a little longer?

Hi Pen,

When she was younger, Bonnie had a problem with overnight bladder control.  She is much better now but I think it is best if I take her outside soon after first light.  We don't let her have access to the outside areas at night because of the prevalence of cane toads.  Also we have been taking her to a dog park in the mornings to improve her socialisation with all sorts of dogs.  There is a group of nice people and dogs who go there each weekday morning.  Unfortunately, they work and so disappear about 7:15.  So we try to get underway by 6:30.

We are off to Coorparoo this afternoon to join in a little family celebration and are going to sleepover so we can have a Mother's Day breakfast there.  So I probably be AWOL until late tomorrow.

It is probably time to do an Australian rebus.  The answer is described as the ultimate holiday adventure for the entire family and {the area’s} most popular tourist destination.
