You're not interested in the man in the first picture but what he was

I can't think of a 5-letter description of what Ronny Biggs (taken in Brazil in 1985) was or a 5 -letter description for the picture of the Palace of Westminster.  The only thing  I have established, I hope, is the first word ends in "ed"

P.S.  June solved it.   I missed that the picture was specifically of the House of Commons.

Super rebus, Pen.

There have been two series of this fairly recent 'feel-good' detective series so far. I don't know if there will be any more.

three words - 3/8/5

Super rebus, Pen.

I was going to post this picture with, if necessary, the question 'What's he holding in his hand?'
Looks like it wasn't needed

Hi Pen,

Pen’s Devilishly clever rebus

It is a Public Holiday here today – May Day in lieu of Saturday but it makes little difference to we retired people.

You might find this article interesting

I’ve just seen Mike’s latest rebus has come in, so I will go and see if I can redeem my reputation.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the clue to Pen's rebus.  I am confident that with it I would have solved the puzzle if June had not already done it for me.

Spoiler Alert - Mike’s Rebus

I can access this series on Itunes at a price.  At this stage, I will put it on my wish list and see if it comes up on a free source or one I already subscribe to.

Hi Jack

You're right it's a Bank Holiday here today & I'm at work.  I do get the day back for another time & the forecast is for bucketing rain so I'm not unduly concerned.  It's Barbs' birthday & she's meant to be going out for lunch with her husband, daughter & grandson.  The only problem is you have to eat outside so I'm a bit worried.  I did message her a happy birthday earlier & advised her to take a brolly!

I did find the article interesting.  We get another Bank Holiday on 31st May for Whitsun.

I have to confess that I failed miserably with Mike's rebus :(  I got hung up on dolphins & flipper   I did solve part of it but what I came up with made no sense whatsoever!

I thought I'd try something a bit different today. No idea if it'll work - I suspect it'll be rather easy.  I look forward to your verdict :) My rebus is a football team.

You're not interested in who the gent is in the first picture.  Please take away the first 2 letters of picture 3.

I loved your pearls of wisdom

Hi Pen,

I hear your football team is revolting.  Spoiler alert later today.

My rebus is an iconic Australian song.

Hi Jack

I was quite smug as I was sure I'd sorted your rebus.  Pride comes before a fall   I googled what I thought was the right answer & it was a big fat no!!  It was your third picture that flummoxed me but I have learned a new word which I love :)

I'll see your iconic Australian song & offer you an English folk song.

Love it Linda - think that sums my day up perfectly too!  Only 2 more hours & I can go home ;)

Your sarnie sounds yummy :-H  Mine was cheese & tomato & all I can say is that it was adequate & filled a hole!

Hi Pen,

The best joke I’ve heard about broccoli

I feel a bit of a dag recommending this particular history

My rebus is a quickie.  The subject is a Venetian structure.

Hi Jack

A great picture of Bonnie & Dusty :)   I can't believe they're 10 months old already - where does the time go?!

Your cartoons tickled me but I'll enjoy the broccoli later when I can switch the sound on.  I think I'm now fully au fait with the history of the loo

I visited the subject of your rebus a few years ago when Eve & I went to Lake Garda on holiday :)

I'm sticking with Italy for my rebus but I've moved further south to Rome.
