Hi Pen,

My rebus tonight is an idiom.  Don’t be too agitated if you don’t get it.

Hi Jack

It took a little while for the penny to drop & I got all excited & then I began to wonder if we have similar expressions but with a different last word.  So I'm going to wait patiently for the spoiler >:D

I have had quite a productive day so far.  I nipped out & did a little shopping & came back & had some lunch.  I then cooked a shepherd's pie for tomorrow nights dinner.  I intended to do a quick post & then go for a walk.  Unfortunately, it seems to be drizzling again :(  So my rebus sort of relates to that!

#3 #4-#4 #5 #2 #4 #3 #3

THEOF&
In the last picture you're not interested in who they are but what they are!

A golfer turns to his caddie & says "That can't be my ball - it's far too old!"
The caddie replies "It's been a long time since we teed off sir!"

A golfer says to his caddie "Please stop checking your watch all the time.  It's too much of a distraction."
Caddie "It's not a watch it's a compass!"

It's fined up so...

Hi Pen,

I think I have your rebus if pictures 4&5 make up one word.  If you confirm that I will be game to issue the usual spoiler alert.  In the meantime I will dream of eating haggis.

Must go. Back later.

Hi Jack

It is as I suspected that we have a different variation on your idiom!  I'll keep my powder dry for the moment!

You can be as game as you like as you are correct in your assumption that pictures 4 & 5 make up one word :)

I'm going to flop in my comfy chair & watch last weeks McDonald & Dodds.  If you haven't seen it it might be worth a look.  It's set in Bath & is a crime drama.

I definitely wont be dreaming of eating haggis ;D  I'd rather dream of eating lasagna!

If life gives you lemons, add a large gin & some tonic...

Hi Pen,

You are not making fun of me, are you?  You know how timid I am.

I am returning to the geological tourist attraction subject.  The answer is in the same land mass as the last one but in a different country.

3  11(#4  #6  #3)  #8  2  (#5  1)  8(#5  #3)

The 2 “the” occurrences are omitted from the pictures.  The last 2 letters deduced from picture 2 and the first 2 letters deduced from picture 3 are duplicated. The pictures are meant to be on one line although they have spilled over.

" First day of spring for you, first day of autumn for me.  Makes me want burst out in sophisticated poetry "

G'day Jack,
Your penchant for poetry is quite catching.
In appreciation of all of your efforts to produce those magnificent location charts, i would like to offer the following token of recognition ;

                                         Ode to Jack

From south he came to the sunny state
Settled with ease into a bayside estate
'Twas not the weather, brought him here
Just a dream to have his family so near
Puzzles and poem entertain on the forum
Jokes & stories always with utmost decorum
Videos and photos of many puppies abound
'Tis a pleasure to have this jolly bloke around
So i raise a toast and toss just a couple back
In honour of the gentleman known as ozzyjack

Oh Jack as if I would   You're as timid as the mice in my last puzzle  >:D

I've solved the easy part of your rebus but I'm struggling with the first bit.  I'll return to it later with a fresh eye :)

It's bitterly cold here again today.  Barbs has messaged me for a walk after lunch but I'm not sure how far we'll get but we'll see.  She was quite poorly last week & I'm just glad she's better & raring to go :)

My simple little rebus is also a tourist attraction across the ditch but in a different direction.

#3 6 (#3 + #4) 5 (#3 + #2)

THE
I've tried to be a bit tricky but I don't think it'll cause any bother.  Not sure about her titfer in the last picture ;D

I've got a ham & tomato sarnie with my name on it then I'm going to put on about 10 layers of clothes & brave the outdoors

Hi Pen,

Was the variation two puzzles ago “jar”  instead of “bottle”

Must go, I’m holding up breakfast.

Hi again, Pen

Were you up late again last night?

Who said dogs didn’t have clear expressions

Same rebus subject but the location is Wales – the New South variety.  In the now time honoured tradition, I have left the “the”s out of the pictures.

3  #5  #7  2  3   #4  10(#5  #5)

Hints on the pictures:
1.    I assume his mother calls him Jack but that’s not what he would be called in Brisbane;
2,3. The more observant will note they are the same but have different word counts so should be interpreted differently;
4,5. Australian pronunciation, please.

Morning Jack, just logged on & immediately noticed the glaring spelling error which has now been corrected. :-[

Hi Les,

In the words of your favourite politician- “Please explain.”

The last correction was made last night.

Not a problem.  I thought it was me that had made a mistake.  You had the advantage of poetic license. :D

Jack...I've come up with an answer to your rebus IF your pictures have got jumbled.
If not....please post the spoiler, before I resort to alcohol this early in the day!
