Something to keep you going.

1997, American murder story, based on real-life events.

eight words 8/2/3/6/2/4/3/4

and /in /of / the are not shown in the rebus - fit them in as appropriate.

Bonus point - very famous director
Bonus, bonus point - Young, British actor who played the murder victim (in a very convincing accent, apparently)

May i suggest an additional bonus point for identifying the connection that one of the female cast members has with the famous director.

G'day Jack

I thought I might follow Mike's lead & use a film for my rebus today.  It's from 1975.

Q: What's the difference between a car and a golf ball?
A: Tiger Woods can drive a golf ball more than 200 yards.

Tiger Woods. Brilliant putter, not such a great driver.

Hi Pen,

First day of spring for you, first day of autumn for me.  Makes me want burst out in sophisticated poetry

Spring has sprung, the grass is ris,
I wonder where the boidies is
The boid is on the wing,
But that’s absoid
From what I hoid
The wing is on the boid!

I understand it is known as the Bronx anthem.

An easy rebus for you today. A film featuring Sister Sara’s mate.  I wonder where I got that idea from?

Not that easy as it turned out   For some stupid reason I went off at a tangent & thought it was Pale Rider ???  I've got half baked Monday brain   Got there in the end though.

I found a slight variation on your Spring poem which you might enjoy if you're in poetic mood ;)

Hi Pen,

So, I’ll give you another rebus and then have a quick look for anything that tickles.

It is a geological feature which we visited in 2004 and which Wikipedia claims is unique in the UK.  It is probably further north on the Island than you have been.

Hint:  In pictures 1,2, and 4 you are not interested in the look but in the sound.

Hi Jack

That was an enjoyable & clever rebus.  I solved the beginning but got stuck with the gent in the last picture!  I had to seek help from Ms Google to find the location.  Your all things British did indeed tickle me

I thought I'd try something a bit different today.  It's a cocktail!  I suspect you'll find it rather easy peasy!

Hi Pen,

Congratulations on your rosette in yesterdays standard game.

I’ve got no imagination, so I am sticking with geological features which double as tourist attractions.  We visited this one in 2004 and it is across the ditch from you.  I have not pictured the “the” and “of”

Hi Paula,

The last two of the litter out at the farm.

One goes this weekend.  The other one will be there until April when it goes to Japan.

Hi Jack

Have to agree with Mike & Daisy :)

The rosette was a bit of a fluke!  My friend & work colleague, Donna, & I both needed one word each.  Somehow or other we managed to find it between us!  As I don't get many I'll take it though

I'm on my holibobs again until the end of the week :)  Though I am working this coming Sunday. Going to be a shock to the system come April when I go back to my regular four day week.  It's cold, grey & foggy here today.  The sun is trying to break through but it's having a struggle!  I'm hoping that by the time I finish this it will have cheered up enough for me to enjoy a walk.

I had a good old wrestle with your rebus but am unstuck on the last couple of pictures. I was going to offer up the White Cliffs of Dover but didn't think you'd accept that for many reasons >:D  I'll go back to it a little later.
I'm sticking with the boozy theme.

Leave you with a silly random selection - not a patch on yours.  I'm going to brave the great outdoors!

Hi Pen,

I had not heard of the answer to your rebus although it is one of the most popular in the UK apparently.   Your last picture did not come out but is easily guessed if you’ve worked out the rest.  For others l will give the picture I would have used.

It sounds like it is raining quite heavily outside and so I might have to postpone the early morning dog walk.  The alarm is going to go off in 5 minutes and so I may as well put the jug on for a coffee and take Bonnie outside,
