Have they rebuilt your pub yet?

The buggers shut the joint down without even consulting me.
I believe the plan is to knock it down for yet another block of units

When are people going to accept/acknowledge that ALL LIVES MATTER and we all need to do the right thing?  I feel like ranting about Covid stupidity....but I won't!
WELCOME BACK, LES !

Thanks for the welcome back & happy to have a little rant on your behalf.

I share your frustration with the Covid stupidity although i no longer feel that these people are simply stupid in fact they are very intelligent & know exactly what is going on but these selfish bastards choose to conjure up ways to lie, cheat & defraud the very system which has been put in place to protect them & everybody else.
Well it has certainly back fired on the two young " ladies " from Logan.
I imagine that it will be 2 or 3 weeks before the full extent of the damage they have
knowingly caused will be revealed.
I am tipping that if they manage to avoid a jail sentence ( which the poor little darlings probably will ) they will quickly be moving from their residence in Logan as the locals there will give them hell for years to come.

At our exercise class this morning we all wondered should someone die would they be charged with manslaughter.

[The buggers shut the joint down without even consulting me.

That's a bit rough after all the contributions you made to their profit.

Have you found another one to support?

That's a very good question Carol but i suspect that by the letter of the law almost impossible to prove, they may already be responsible ( by degrees of separation ) for several deaths that have occurred in nursing homes.
As i said earlier , i doubt that they will serve any jail time at all although i do hold out a hope that Anna ( who is mad as hell at these girls ) will throw the book at them & prosecute them to the full extent of the law.
I have no empathy at all for them when their actions were so blatant, callous & planned with absolutely no regard for anybody else.
On our local news tonight a reporter recorded a phone interview that he had with one of the girls brother. His response was that they were only being vilified because they are people of colour.!!!

Hi Pen,

Today the dog-sitter posted a picture of the pup I was cuddling last Sunday.  Do you reckon Les would like to be the pup?

Yes please :-*

Jack, i've been on long service & sick leave for almost 2 years now so no surprise i will not be going back to work & will officially retire on 5th of October . ( 44 yrs of service to the day ) so looking for a new watering hole has not been a priority & then of course the virus & you know how that story goes.

Am i reading it correctly, are you in fact moving to the beautiful shire of Redlands

Hi Jack

I was going to ask is the Pope a Catholic? & say yes of course he would >:D  Les is one step ahead of me & has already answered   A smashing picture :)  I wonder if that one will be yours.

A very hot & busy day for me today.  They are forecasting 31/32c tomorrow.  Very glad I'm not working.  I can sit indoors & do nothing!!

Tony, I just read this in the Brisbane Times

The one refusing to cooperate is now cooperating.  It might be because she could be facing up to 5 years gaol.

A smashing picture :)  I wonder if that one will be yours.

On the basis of Probability, Pen, a 25% chance.

While testing a newly installed computer, an Army officer asked the machine to predict the probability of World War Three.
And promptly received a one-world answer: "Yes."

Annoyed at the lack of detail, the officer barked, "Yes, what?"

Instantly the machine replied "Yes, sir!"

There's a fair chance I'll post again later today.  >:D

Hi Jack....nice to have a distraction from the real world. I think I'm becoming obsessed with borders these days ! I love that this one looks like "it" has a mullet.

Hi Moira,

If the pups are allocated on body shape, I am a shoo-in to get the brown one on the bottom right.
