I was being pedantic in trying to get you to get Pen’s quote looking right by getting the “quote” “/quotes” balanced.

Les, if you insist on chopping the tops off, leave at least one “quote” in parenthesis there to  stop the quotes looking ridiculous.

P.S. do you really think having a little tipple reduces your ability to communicate?

I'm too " pissed " to answer that.

Thanks Jack, that has actually worked & yes I was probably given that instruction earlier but I managed to confuse myself  ( easily done ) with all the different instructions, anyway I have finally managed to master the task so thank you for all your help & patience.

Now you have to take the advice of a wise man:

Just a word of warning, if you are anything like me, make sure that you use " your new found power " regularly, otherwise within a few months you will have forgotten how to do it.

I couldn't care less because you're both making me roar with laughter!

Well, no laughter today, Pen, we’re into the serious business of cross-cultural language translation.

Lesson 1

Les talking in Red, English translation in Black

Lesson 2

High Class Aussie Lady

Lesson 3

Message From Australia:

A Darwin fellow roaming the Red Centre with a beaut of a barbie on the ali tray of his fair dinkum ute was looking for some hard yakka because there was no sit-down money for the pokies.  But it was a daggy deal as he hit the Bundy instead and ended up chundering in the dunny.

Above Message As Reported By British Dispatches

A person named Darwin with companions the fair skinned Barbara Dinkum ute and Ali Tray were travelling through the center of China looking for some hard egg-yokes because of financial constraints and a lack of pigs.  But something went wrong after a fight with someone called Bundy in a town called Chanderin-Dunni.

Tomorrow: How to translate New Zealand speak

and then we might get back to making you laugh. >:D

I very much look forward to How To Translate New Zealand Speak tomorrow (today possibly?)
If it's anything like Aussie speak then I will obviously be even more baffled ???

Thanks Anonsi
I'll give it a whirl when I next post a link.  If Les can master it with the aid of a drink or 3 then hopefully I can manage it when stone cold sober!!

Pen, you really must try to make more of an effort to keep up.

Sorry Les I'll try a bit harder in future
Too busy laughing at (or maybe that should say with) you & Jack to concentrate!
Bit like my reports when I was at school. Must pay more attention!

Pen, I grew up watching a TV show called " Young Talent Time ".
It was hosted by Johnny Young & as the name suggests it had kids from about 7 to 15 years old singing popular songs.
Many of the performers (Kylie & Dannie Minogue to name just a couple ) went on to have fabulous careers & are renowned world wide but the one that i fell in love with was Tina Arina.
This all leads me to an excuse to practise my new found embedding skill, hope you like the song.
