Nobody expects the Spanish ink precision!

Hi Pen,

I love puns like that.  It gave me the inspiration for my rebus.

This song is from a group which was formed the year I first went to Canberra.  I don’t think I have used an element in my word count notation before for a 2-word homophone.  The numbers in the first bracket give the number of letters in each word: the numbers in the second bracket are the number of letters to derive from the pictures.

#1   (4  2)(#3   #3)  #4   #4  #4

Conceptually one line.  Homophones abound.

Picture 4.  Before you apply the homophone it is past tense and 5 letters.
picture 5 . Why  >:D don't you replace the first letter with another letter.

Hi Jack

So do I!  That was a cracking & very clever rebus ;)  It took me several attempts before I got there!

I don't think I can match it but I'll have a bash ;D  My rebus is an album from the 1980's.

#8 2 #4

Position is vital!

I went to the seaside yesterday and as I was walking along the beach I dropped my keys in the sea.  Unfortunately, one of the fish swallowed them so I dived in to get them back.
They were in the last plaice I looked!

Hi Pen,

Not only matched it, beat it.

It took me a while to realise that the word count meant making one word out of pictures 1&3.

I need "a cup of tea, a bex and a good lie down"  after that - google it.

An idiom

#5 - #4 , #5 7 (#3 #4)
Homophones; image one, just one; image 4, what if they weren’t aggressive?; image 5, madame, you must change the second letter; oh, and all on one line...

Hi Pen,

Can I suggest that a way of doing a word count where two pictures make up the one word would be ##n or 2x#n where n is the number of letters.  This would mean that the number of # and the number of pictures would be the same.

My Rebus today is a song that was released the year the world was blessed by the arrival of a special person!.  Oh, you guessed who – me. >:D

#4    #3   5   3  #5   #4

Position essential.  Definite article not pictured in this and the supplementary rebus

Picture 3.  Insert an apostrophe.

The group that sang it were

3  ##7   ##6

One line.

Hi John,

Great Rebus.  I wish the guys who designed Robodebt had realised that was the trap they were falling into.

Hi Jack

You are, of course, quite right  :)  I should have made it plain that the first and last pictures in my last rebus made up the same word.  I was being a clever dick and, in my head, a bit devious :-R
I haven't sorted John's rebus yet but I have your group so far but not the title of the song.  Not sure how busy it's going to be this morning.

I did google that and it tickled me   We'd probably say a cuppa and an aspirin! (or just a glass of wine >:D)

I promise that my rebus today wont require any of the above ;)  It's song from the year of the Suez Crisis   This wasn't brought about by the arrival of a very special baby >:D

10 (#5 + #5) 5 (#2 + #3)

Please use either in picture one.  Please change the first letter of picture three and use first name of gent in picture four and just the first three letters.   A couple of homophones and please pretend it's all on one line.

Accordion to research you can slip the names of musical instruments into sentences without anyone noticing.

Great rebuses Jack and John  :) - I've got them both now!  Might have been the cheese and coleslaw sarnie I had for lunch - recharged my little grey cell

Hi Jack

It's shaping up to be a busy clinic this morning.  A nice simple straightforward puzzle from me today.  It's a film released in the year Zoe was born.

9 (#5 + #4) #7

Please use the name of the character in the first picture and the actor's name in the second (lose the last letter) How might you describe what Mr Astaire is doing in three words? Last of the three words please!  All on one line.

My friend Barbs wanted a green jumper for her birthday...
so I bought her a frog!

I'm trying to sell a gate very cheaply...
there's no catch!

This tickled me   Nearly lunchtime hurrah  :-H

Hi Pen,

I couldn't work out Astaire's 3 word movement but I have an answer.  The Clincher would be if the movie was released in 1987.
Can you please confirm.
