I'm on holiday until 4 Jan!  Smug!!

The post punk band rebus:  Surely one of my favourites too.  Not so sure though because they sang one of the best songs ever (in my opinion) and I can't seem to get it from the clues.  Answers please!  >:D

Oh Linda you lucky devil >:D  I'm obviously in the wrong job!

Sorry I can't offer any help :'( - I haven't even got the band so far :-R

I can only use emoticons and letters, not photos, which limits me a bit - so the songs are just what I could do that way. My favourite’s not on there!

The name of the band - two alternatives for the same word (not plural). If you want to check your answer before looking at the spoiler, 🕷 and 💄 might help?!!

PS which is your favourite song? I wonder if it involves 😭 ? I think mine is plainsong … (which won’t help anyone with the answer, I don’t think)

Whatever your beliefs, there is no harm in wishing everybody a happy, safe and healthy Season. I hope you are full of goodwill and be kind to each other.

For those in the Northern Hemisphere, I wish you a white Christmas! (And when you run out of white, just open a bottle of red).

For the rest of you, Eat. Drink. Be Merry. Have a wonderful Christmas!

P.S. Is it just me, or does Santa look younger every year?
Regards, Jack

Friday, I'm In Love!!  What a joyous, wonderful song!

I'm going to look foolish if I've guessed the wrong band!  >:D

I agree Madeleine - I think it's brilliant & hilarious

It's fab not having to go in for five whole days :)

Hi Jack

I would like to echo your beautifully put good wishes to one & all :)

I'm just wondering where that leaves those of us who are more partial to a drop of pink muck?  >:D

What do you get when you cross a vampire and a snowman? Frostbite.
What do you call people who are frightened of Santa?  Claustraphopic.
The other day I sent my daughter a huge pile of snow.  I then rang her up & asked "Did you get my drift?"
Leave you with some silly jokes ;D

Merry Christmas, Pen

I know you (and, therefore I suppose, Linda) and Pat are not avid fans of the commercial celebration of Christmas but the spirit of the season is that whatever floats your boat should be enjoyed.  So whether it is red, white, pink muck, tea, coffee or water, enjoy it to the full.

Our family celebration is at Coorparoo today and for my one alcoholic drink (I am the designated driver) I will be toasting you and all my family and friends with pink Champagne.  But I expect when I get home tonight I will be having a wee dram or two.  >:D . Michael (whisky) no doubt will be doing the same.

Santa has been but he left all our presents under the Christmas Tree at Coorparoo so I will Have to wait until we get over there mid-morning to find out whether he thought I have been naughty or nice.

I'll leave you with a special wish that you and Zoe have a great day.

Regards, Jack

Season's Greetings to all.
Wherever, however and whoever.

Indeed.
I have a single cask whisky ( not diluted or adulterated with anything ) from Glen Scotia.
At 53.3% ABV, it should be heart warming.

Michael
