Hi Pen,

I needed a poppy nap but I was too busy to have one. Apart from the things I should have been doing, I spent too much time on the 7-by-many.  I have told you before if I spend enough time on them, I generally get there or thereabouts, so long as the talented one points me in the direction I should be looking at but I am miserably slow in comparison.

The subject of my rebus is a song given away by the Beatles and recorded by Cilla Black

Ditch the last two letters of each picture.

I’ll leave you with this.

Hi Jack

Greetings from a much warmer, but grey & dreary Bletchley.

I think you do brilliantly with the 7-by-many :)  I've tried it loads of times but just can't get my head round it. No idea why - very strange.

I have an answer for your rebus which fits the pattern but have no idea if it's right.  I know you shouldn't speak ill of the dead but Cilla Black's voice sets my teeth on edge.  Both singing & talking.

I'll see your Cilla Black song & offer up a Beatles album.

Second picture is a homophone.

Time for lunch :-H I'll leave you with this - it really tickled me :)

Hi Pen,

I having been thinking about Christmas gifts.  I asked Blue what he would give a person who has everything.  He replied,”Antibiotics”.

One of Blue’s Mate’s is a boxer.  Blue nicknamed him “Picasso”, because he spends most of the time on the canvass.

The subject of my rebus is a song by the Beatles and covered by Cilla Black.

Hi Jack

I've moved on to The Who for my rebus. A record released in 1969. Think you might find this a bit easy peasy!

I was thinking of using this one for the first three words of my rebus but wasn't sure if the ad campaign was specific to Australia...

Hi Jack

Another busy day here.  I can't believe it's only 10 days until Christmas Eve :o   I really must write a few more Christmas cards!

Thought I'd give a Christmas song a whirl for a rebus.

Hi Pen,

It’s been a long day.  I spent several hours gardening and I hate gardening.

When I took Bonnie out to do her business before going to bed there was a huge cane toad in the middle of the back lawn. It was the first one I’ve seen since last summer.  I chased him with the spray, but I don’t think I did him any permanent damage.

My cartoons tonight are from an e-mail sent to me from one of my mates.  I don’t think I’ve used any of them before.

I’m too tired to do a rebus tonight but I’ll leave you with this.

Regards, Jack

Hi Again Jack

I hate gardening too.  Not that I have much to worry about!  I have a man who comes & tidies me up & cuts my lawn which is brilliant  but he's in very popular demand so it's not always easy to get him!

I have a lovely funny mental picture of you chasing the cane toad - properly tickled me this afternoon

I headed off to Milton Keynes shopping centre after tea.  Unfortunately, 2 of the shops I wanted weren't open for late night shopping so it was a bit of a fruitless journey :(

A cuppa & an hours toot telly then I'll hit my pit :-Y
