Rose,  I just tried Chrome with Windows 10 and the 6 elves were there and so I can't work out where the problem is.
Pen, the eighth picture was a Venn diagram.

Jack, the elves are still MIA.

It will have to remain one of life's little mysteries.

This 1960s 'action woman' started life as a comic strip in a newspaper before moving into films and novels.

two words, 7/6

Picture 1 - delete the last letter
Picture 3 - is a homophone'

You can get the lady's name from the first three pictures. However, if you correctly identify the figure on the left of picture 4 (7 letters) you will see the name of the villain who is her arch-enemy.

Zoe & I sorted it out but the only thing we didn't get was picture 8.

I also admit to being a little confused, Jack.
I worked out the rhyme (you could say I was quite 'on the Ball') and correctly identified the Venn diagram - it's taught in mathematics classes these days, as part of set theory - but, other than the rhyme, I can't quite work out how 'Venn' becomes 'then'.

As it was about a peasants' uprising, I thought it appropriate to draw a longbow. >:D

Hi Pen,

I just got back from Coorparoo where we had lunch to celebrate the birthday of one of our grandsons. It has been a long day.

So, a frivolous rebus today.  In all modesty, I must announce that I can’t conceive of a rebus to match Mike’s.

It is a malapropism of a common idiom.

I'm the one who is confused today Mike!  Definitely not on the ball I'm afraid.  You & Jack have both outwitted Zoe & I with your clever rebuses.

Hi Jack

Zoe & I have just been out for a walk & we're somewhat hot & frazzled

You & Mike have got us both flummoxed with your rebuses!

My rebus is quite simple.  It's a film from the 1970's.

You need to find the full name of a Bond villain with expensive tastes in firearms.

two words - 9/10

picture 1 - the second part only of the name of the city
picture 2 - the first syllable of the nickname of the very unpleasant chap in the picture

Hi Pen,

Bonnie is a bit sad today because her new mate caught the plane back to Canberra this morning.

Mike has come up with another pearler.  I enjoyed doing the back story but I won't publish until tomorrow morning.

Opinions are divided whether the subject of my rebus was a great Statesman or a villain.  He was certainly no friend of the Musketeers.

I think I've solved this one Mike!  Your rebus yesterday was brilliant & very sneaky :)  We went off at a tangent & spent ages trying to identify the model

Hi Jack

Oh dear :(  I bet you'll all be missing Bonnie's new mate.  Hopefully it wont be too long before he pays a return visit.

Mike's on fire at the moment & you're not so shabby yourself   We didn't manage to solve either of the rebuses yesterday.
Thankfully I've had more success today :)

The subject of my rebus is also French.  Born in the 18th century. If I say any more it'll be a gimme!

Picture 1 is a homophone.  Picture 2 please lose the last letter.  Surname of the lady in picture 3 & then change the first letter.

A lady inserted an 'ad' in the classifieds: 'Husband wanted'. Next day she received a hundred letters. They all said the same thing: 'You can have mine.'

My neighbour said he tripped over his wife's bra when he got out of bed this morning...
he said it was a booby trap!

How do you find Will Smith in a snowstorm?
Look for the fresh prints!

Leave you with some silly naff jokes ;D
