Ok but aren't seals generally brown, grey or silver?

In 1993 we obviously thought they were the same colour as Sealy.  We didn't have many seals in Canberra then

I agree Pen, one of us is definitely colour blind because it looked like a deep blue to me.
It's irrelevant anyway because sealy is a cute & catchy nickname  for a car regardless of how it came about.
I wonder if this will have any influence on the design of the custom plates?

My hair colour isn't the same as it was in '93,  perhaps Sealy has greyed up a little too.  After all, he has done 69,000 km (nearly 43,000 Miles for you, Pen) but he still has a lot of grunt.  Have fun thinking up custom plates but don't expect it to happen.  It is not our style.  If it was I would possibly be tempted by BUG A ME.

Only one photo of Bonnie in Facebook today.

It's half an hour past my bedtime so

Probably me Les   I might nickname my car Bluey with a nod to Jack's acquaintance >:D  She is a rather gorgeous shade of blue! Like this one

Sadly, unlike Sealy, she doesn't have much grunt!

Nor's mine Jack!  I'm just about white all over now though my hairdresser does a good job with the purple dye   I think it's fair to say that Sealy has obviously served June well.  If my maths is about right (Zoe says it's poor ) then that's about 1,500 miles a year.  Extremely low.  I've clocked up about 2,500 miles in 10 months.

A smashing picture of Bonnie :)  Only just over a week to go!  Bet you can't wait.

Leave you with a small random(ish) selection

I think it's fair to say that our hot weather has gone.  Been cold & wet here today.  I'm treating myself to a jacket spud :-H  Yummy!

Jack, not surprised to hear that custom plates are not your style. ( which is exactly why i suggested it )
I actually think that those people who choose to spend a lot of money on personalised plates are just a little bit vain although you did occasionally see a funny one on the road.

Penny, i would be very careful about naming my car after Jacks mate bluey as he would probably be cheeky enough to talk back to you.

Blue got his name because he is (or pedantically, was) a redhead but he did tell me, Pen, that if you named your car after him he would be honoured.

I’m sorry that your weather has turned nasty.  I hope it is not as bad as it has been at the Belfry golf course near Birmingham.  We finally got connected with Foxtel here during the week so I have spent a lot of time virtually at the Belfry for the last two days.   One bonus was that the programs I recorded in Mittagong survived the trip and are still available on the IQ4.

Like Les, while I couldn’t be bothered spending money on personalised plates, I really appreciate the clever ones.

Your arithmetic on Sealy’s mileage was spot on.  Sealy says, however, it is not how far you have been ridden but how much you have enjoyed each ride that is important.

Hi Jack

It's another very cold & wet day here again today :(  The Belfry is not that far from here - about 65/70 miles.  I think the weather there is quite similar to here.  The car said 13c this morning when I popped out.  Hard to imagine it's not long ago it was 39c :o

Blue might not be quite so chuffed if you tell him my car is a girl >:D

Talking of personalised number plates...the gent is Paul Daniels who, as you can guess, was a magician ;D

Did you hear about the french cheese factory that exploded..?   There was nothing left but de brie!
I took Bonnie for a walk on the beach but she wasn't allowed on...Apparently it was Ban Collie Day!
(that's nearly topical )

I'm going to treat myself to a Sicilian Lemon gin & tonic & flop in my chair :)

No, but did you hear about the explosion at the pie factory?
It could be heard from 3.1415926 miles away.

Hi Pen,

Fitzy let me down this morning.  I had already used his joke of the week in a kiwi context months ago but it probably bears repeating:

Quote
Two good ol’ boys in a Tennessee trailer park are sitting around talking one afternoon over a cold beer.
One says to the other, "If I was to sneak over to your place Saturday and make love to your wife while you were off hunting and she got pregnant and had a baby, would that make us kin?"
The other guy scratches his head, develops a look of deep thought on his face and after a couple of minutes answers, "Well, I don’t know about kin, but it sure would make us even."

In compensation, I will give you a song by Brian Stitt, although the rest of his anatomy is probably just as funny..

Nobody uses the camp kitchen any more

And I’ll leave you with this

Hi Jack

I agree that Fitz's joke was worth repeating

I'll see your Brian Stitt & offer you Al Yankovic (he's not called "weird" for nothing!)
Like a Surgeon
It didn't make me roar with laughter but it did make me chuckle ;D

Your picture about parking for green vehicles did make me laugh!

August bank holiday tomorrow & I'm going to work.  If it's still cold & rainy it wont be so bad.  I was so cold in bed last night that I had to put my winter duvet back on today :(  Where is George Clooney when you need him? >:D

Hi Pen,

Does that mean people get paid for calling him weird?  :D

Looks like your weather has marginally improved – pity you have to work.

Yipee.  Today is the last day of winter.  I found a verse to celebrate tomorrow in the antipodes..

Spring is sprung, the grass is riz.
I wonder where the birdies is.
They say the birdies on the wing, but that's absurd.
I always thought the wing was on the bird.

So here’s one for you people north of the equator.

Autumn is the time of year
when changes start to happen here.
The days grow short. It’s cold outside.
The birds fly south. The squirrels hide.
The leaves fall off of all the trees.
The garden pond begins to freeze.
Another summer’s left behind.
It’s winter soon, but I don’t mind.
For autumn is the time when I
begin to dream of pumpkin pie.

I know what you are thinking.  You are thinking he hasn’t got a bloody clue about what to write tonight.

That is very intuitive.
