'New' flag not appearing
« on: March 22, 2017, 12:03:25 PM »
I no longer see a 'New' flag in the Forum Latest section when I'm signed in (either site) even though I'm logged into the Forum when I click on a link. Several things have changed since it last worked (Firefox & newly installed OS), so I'm not sure if it is just me or something happening to others.

It's not just you, T. I'm not seeing it either.

I also seem to be a victim of the flag thief. :police:

I can't say for sure that the new icon has disappeared for me too, because I've just read all the latest posts so I wouldn't expect to see it. But I'll assume it's disappeared for everybody.

It probably results from a recent change I made in the way the Forum Latest panel is generated. The process of getting the information is more indirect than it used to be, to try to avoid "insecure connection" messages in some browsers, as discussed in another thread. I'll see if I can get it back.

Not having it is a minor thing. If it helps avoid the insecure warning, I'd leave it be.
