Oh dear I really am a bit useless!  I copied and pasted a bit from MK's posting and it didn't appear in a nice box highlighted in blue! Where did I go wrong??

Penny, you either need to click on 'Quote' if you haven't clicked on 'Reply', or if you've already clicked on 'Reply' then click on 'Insert Quote'. Both actions have the same result, which is to display the entire message you want to quote from with the quote tags round it. All you need to do then is to delete what you don't want.

GC, I didn't misunderstand you and I don't disagree with you. The points I mentioned were valid arguments I read that I certainly hadn't thought about.

Penny, remember: Preview is your friend! If you ever need to see what one of your posts is going to look like, click on the Preview button underneath the area where you type. It's saved me from many a blunder.

My home town is famous for the ring road that goes through the middle of the town and a Pyramid ( a spoil tip from an old quarry)...oh..and the birth place of George Eliot

Are you in Nuneaton, RANDOMS? If so, you're only about 20 miles from me!

The only claim to fame that my home town has is that it's the birthplace of Rugby football, which came about due to a cheating schoolboy.

 ;D Spot on Pat

I bet it was the Pyramid ( known locally as Mount Jud ) that gave it away ;D

How did you do that? The post before mine was by RANSOMS but now it's changed to Dragonman.

Hi Pat
I started playing Chi as Randoms but for some unknown reason it stopped working as a sign on so I adopted Dragonman but then when I posted it reverted to Random...confusing!!!
Yesterday I got round to amending my profile so now I appear as Dragonman...my screen name for chi.
Simples ;D

I'm lucky in being in a place where there are too many local attractions to list!  So if anyone is thinking of a trip to NYC, just let me know what your interests are, and I'll gladly find you places to go.

And as I mentioned in another thread, Birdy, you are a wonderful guide and host, as I found out last fall!

However, I will warn anyone wanting a "walking" tour of NYC, you'd better have excellent footwear and be fit enough to cover a lot of ground. It was so much fun, with great views and terrific history lessons. Being a former resident of the Big Apple, I still saw many places I had never visited -- it's a big town and I left in my late 20s -- mannnnnnny years ago -- with only one return in 1990. Things sure have changed since then -- for the better I must say. I can't wait to go back again.
