Pat, how is your recovery going?  Can you sneeze comfortably yet?

Hi GC.

I've now been discharged from the hospital as everything seems to be healing nicely (if a little untidily - they could do with a lesson or two in needlework!) although  it may be months or even years before I'm completely pain-free.

As for sneezing, I'm half way there. I'm not holding my nose to prevent one from brewing, but when it comes out it's half way between a sneeze and a shriek. If I stood in a field I could act as a bird-scarer.

Hi Pat.  So glad to hear you're on the mend!  Your comment about the bird-scarer made me really laugh!  Few of the patients in the waiting room giving me strange looks.  Probably think I'm not here to enjoy myself! Please don't stand in a field until the weather drastically improves  I think this week, especially Monday, has been the coldest all Winter.  Keep hoping Spring is just around the corner...

Actually, I ought to invite Linda on my expeditions - she'd be more or less guaranteed not to see a bird! That seems to be the case even when I'm not doing my best imitation of a bird scarer. 

Oops - she's just sneaked a response in while I was typing this - I can't invite her now - she's dead!
