Prefixes

One of Chi's quirks is that a number of terms which are prefixes or combining forms are accepted as words.  Infra, intra, nano, demi and hemi, for example, are all accepted as rare words, while others, like mega, are accepted as common.  Still others, like multi, aren't accepted at all.  Technically, I'd argue that none of these are words at all; they're parts of words (try using one of them in a sentence without attaching it to the front of another word).  Nonetheless, I've learned to look for them.

And to make things even more interesting, there are words which are both prefixes and words in their own right, like semi and ultra (both accepted as common).

Although the pedant in me wants to eliminate non-words from the game, I've kind of got used to the fact that the Chi lexicon is quirky and that this part of its charm, and part of the challenge of playing.
