I have to ask: is pubertal really common?

If you'd asked me two days ago to give the adjective from 'puberty' I don't think I would have known; obviously a number of players did know the word since there were sixteen rosettes;
 it's not unknown in Chi for nouns and their corresponding adjectives to have different classifications (I remember querying 'algae' and 'algal' some time ago), so my vote would be to downgrade 'pubertal'

Getting a word doesn't necessarily mean it is a common word to the player, let alone that the player thinks of it as a common word. Both sysop and pubertal are words I've managed to get and have been surprised to see them classified as common.

Sometimes, I don't know why some of the words I get even come to mind!

Exactly, TRex!!  I got the same words, definitely not part of my day to day vocabulary, just seen them on Chi
and they popped (conveniently) into my mind.

Pubertal has now been made rare.

As a relatively new player & particularly when time , along with my idea's , are running out
& because i don't really care about percentages , i will jumble letters around as a last resort &  am surprised when i do jag what to me is an obscure word , it will actually register as common &  even more frustrating is when i have only a couple of words left to get a rosette , & jag one , it comes up as rare & i still need those couple of common words to get the rosette.
Not asking for a solution as i see that there is always a lot of debate about how certain words should be classified , just voicing my confusion / frustration with the classification system...Thanks Les
