eight-letter words without key letter

Sometimes, as in the current Challenge puzzle, I wonder if there should be a category with a mark to go alongside the star, rosette, and trophy, for finding a word that uses all the letters except the central/key letter.

My personal grail, not yet ever having come near to geting a rosette, is to get at least one word beginning with each and every letter in the puzzle - I feel a great sense of achievement when I manage that!

I also do that. It helps to remember some really obscure words too.
