Annal. Came in yesterday's 10-letter (ornamental). I was a bit surprised to see that it was classed as 'rare'. I'm fairly sure that it would be familiar to most solvers, perhaps not in its original sense of 'the chronicle of a particular year',but in its wider, more common sense of 'legendary tale'.
