Might I suggest vardo--a gypsy wagon. There'a a whole industry devoted to making them.

I must say it hasn't cropped up in my reading, as far as I've noticed. However, vardo is listed in some of the Oxford dictionaries, including the Concise Oxford. The variant varda is given as well. I will add both of these words.
